Not the full picture, it’s also relevant for the next 3 years. Although it definitely makes sense to make any signings against that headroom this summer on a 3 year contract so everything drops in line and you’re not having to find space in the budget at a later date.

It's only relevant if we don't spend the headroom which is what I said. Having Greaves and Jaden sold in different windows but leaving us in the same window doesn't give us any benefit.

Apparently, we want 7 figures for Longman. If we get anywhere from £1-1.5 million for him, that’s great work by us.

We could get just over £3 million from selling Allsop, Tufan and Longman.

Geeze that's insane. I was assuming we'd sell him for 500k.

I'd have been happy with that even if it was Allsop and Longman leaving on frees so I'd take that.

Wonder if we’ll go for Ludovit Reis as a replacement for Tufan. Wouldn’t be cheap but would certainly be a good signing at this level.

Probably about £40k in wages too.

Thing is most have their minds made up on Longman he’ll go on to have a decent career at this level. Really found form at the end of the season, definitely could contribute but doubt he wants to after how badly he was scapegoated by the fan base (myself included)

Do you mean 400k? He'd be on about 8-10k surely.

Sorting out the striker situation early will be a huge relief as it’s the priority. If we get Ohio in then hopefully another (if the rumours about Žan Celar are true, Slovenia losing tonight might speed this along) then we can maybe wait a bit later in the window for a third striker on loan.

I think Ohio will thrive under Walter's system. He was criminally underused by Rosenior, preferring Billy ****ing Sharp over him was unforgivable.

He wasn't underused he was brought up to fitness and then thrown into the team at which point he scored two crucial goals for us ffs. Rosenior started him against Huddersfield after he scored against Rotherham and he was rubbish.

Not everything has to be a shot at LR.

It's not a shot at him, I meant on the bench. I agree he wasn't ready to start, but as an impact sub surely he was a better bet than Sharp.

Based on what? Apart from Rotherham he barely offered anything off the bench until later in the season. Came on against Stoke for instance and did nothing.

Sometimes it's better to take a young player out of the firing line and get them right.

How is it not a shot at LR when you said he was criminal with his use of Ohio and unforgiveable?

Against Ipswich he offered a spark. I think we saw glimpses with him and if the price is right he’s worth a punt. We can’t exactly afford to be picky with striking options and someone young with his physical capabilities is worth a punt

Yes, against Ipswich he was great, that's the 'later in the season' I was referring to.

He got 11 minutes against Birmingham and 19 against Stoke and that was it though.
