If you’ve seen the Netflix movie Sunderland till I die you’ll see he was the only positive aspect in their whole season
Would hope that's not true. As I was saying on the podcast yesterday, the logic of saying we have 6 players for 3 forward positions doesn't really sit with me if the three aren't interchangeable. Like.. we're not ever lining up with Bowler and Milinkovic on the wings and Grosicki up top.
I think it depends how you look at it, ive always thought 2 positions per position. 2 left, 2 right & 2 strikers. There's also the young Lewis-Potter kid as an option up top too. That gives us 7 players for 3 positions.
The hypothetical I posed was if Eaves - or Dicko - got a 3 month injury (let alone season ender) we would have one striker with no one off the bench. When everyone's fit, sure, you only probably need one back up. I assume we'll be doing a Deadline Day loan or two like usual though so plenty of time.
IMO Honeyman would be a good signing, has a goal in him, and as said probably is better suited to English game that Henriksen. I'm not saying he is as good as Henriksen, but I never felt we saw the best of Marcus, as a bit like Huddlestone, I always felt he was better suited to the type of game in the EPL than the championship.
Don’t know a lot about Honeyman but if he fits in great. Sometimes a move is all a player needs to prove those pointer a finger at him wrong. Signings like this are potentially what the new Manager will be judged on when we hit a rough patch but too be honest its who might have to potentially fill Bowen’s shoes that’s my biggest concern. UTT.
Bournemouth have completed the signing of Dutch international Arnaut Danjuma from Club Brugge for just less than £14m.
McCann has also mentioned more than once how Bowler can play in the middle too. Unless something too good to turn down comes up I don't see us signing a striker. We have 2 competing for 1 spot with a young prospect as a back up and two wide men who can cover.
Sunderland fans are ****ing hilarious sometimes. They think they're a big club. They hate every player that leaves. I think the only exception in recent years was Defoe.
