He looks awesome. He's quick, skillful and can use both feet to fire good shots but the thing that impresses me most is the way he can see space when he's running at someone. Look at how often on that clip he quickly changes direction when dribbling into loads of space, and beats his man easily. Good to see he's left footed too because with Brady gone we dno't have a left-footed winger. I think money helps too. Barmby and Pearson always had to make do with signing people on the cheap but Bruce really seems to have free reign on signing whoever he wants and the more good signings we get like this one and Proschwitz the more it shows other players that this is the place to be.

To a point you are probably right, but it seems the AP and NB had money available to sign Billy Sharp according to the Allam statement, so it makes you wonder what NB ideas were, or was this a sign of inexperience?
Barmby had the money available to sign Billy Sharp or Jason Roberts however he told the Allams the squad was strong enough - that aspect of the whole Allam/Barmby issue is a fact, NB believed the goals would come, Unfotunately they never did
When he signed for Rangers they had the option of extending it for another 2 years as part of the initial contract, so he wouldn't need to sign the new contract for them to do it. We've got a post above saying someone at the Scottish FA knew about the transfer days ago. If he's a legitimate free agent the Scottish FA would only find out when we applied for international clearance, and when we did it would be almost instantaneous because they just have to go "yeah he's out of contract with our club and he's not got any suspensions (or he's suspended for however many games), go ahead he's yours but because of his age you'll either have to agree compo with the Rangers administrators or go to a triibunal". The fact we haven't announced the completed deal yet suggests there's a delay in international clearance being granted, and other than a dispute over whether a contract exists with him or not I can't see why it would be. Whilst we're waiting for it to be resolved though FIFA are able to give permission for him to play for us pending the outcome of whatever legal proceedings are involved. Billy Sharp is the only officially stated name, and I agree with Barmby, he wouldn't have solved the problem we had so why do it. The loanee was just a PL player on £40k/wk. Although I think it probably was Roberts and therefore rejecting him was a mistake, it could also have been someone else who was on silly wages for their ability. I'm pretty sure for example that Macheda signed a new contract with Man U around the time he was the next big thing. He joined QPR on loan in January and was absolute dog turd for them, as we'd have been giving him almost guaranteed first team football he could have been offered to us first, and at that cost it's not as straight forward a decision.
Because he was being transferred from Scotland to England. The nationality of the player is not important.
The transfer needs to be cleared by FIFA or UEFA not sure which? In order to change his registration from OLD RANGERS and the newco to Hull City. I think that's what he means?
Very exciting player got MOM against Bayern in the UEFA cup for Aberdeen a. Couple of years ago. So should be fine at championship level.
