If it is the tactical side of things that he isn't getting right, then yes, perhaps he just needs more time. But, if the rumours are true, that he has lost the dressing room/has poor interpersonal skills, then I don't see what the point of holding on to him would be.

Slightly disturbing that some of the Forest fans want to swap Cooper for Ralph, but then again, fans…you can’t trust ‘em…

I suspect that is a substantial minority and those few are being extremely fickle.

Might also add an additional lure for players from the city academy. Especially as it might mean us attempting to play a little more like city which would bolster their chances of getting re-signed. Or city allowing us to loan some of the ones they absolutely will not sell.

I read an article from a Manchester newspaper in January when we were linked with Delap and McAtee suggesting city wouldn’t loan then to us as our play style is too different and so experience playing in a different way wouldn’t have been thought of as particularly useful

I expect many of the options we could attract will fall into the “risky” category. Although he has such limited experience it does seem to be riskier than many of the other names.

Clearly very highly rated by Pep and co at City though as he left City as head of the academy side (after winning the league) for the job at Parma, and they re-hired him as their assistant manager.

I don’t know enough about the manager’s available or their interest in joining; however, even though I’m Ralph In and was start of the season, it seems something has changed. Either he’s lost the players, or they’ve lost him… that said, there’s no guarantee of anyone else doing better.

Buying a lot of young players means they’ll come good in about a year or so. If we want someone to buy into the philosophy, very likely they’ll play in a very similar way to Ralph.

I always judge a manager by whether their coaching improves players. I think he used to…. But not any more. Sad as it is to say, think his time is done.

I am Ralph out but if/when he does go, the club need to do it with the respect Ralph deserves. He has done amazing things for the club, however he stories leaking out about him not talking to his players to me shows on the pitch. When a leader in any organization acts that way, their time is up.

Any management appointment is a risk, if we want to play it safe then we get Sean Dyche in. We all know he will shore up the defence and play simple football
