If it is the tactical side of things that he isn't getting right, then yes, perhaps he just needs more time. But, if the rumours are true, that he has lost the dressing room/has poor interpersonal skills, then I don't see what the point of holding on to him would be.

I suspect that is a substantial minority and those few are being extremely fickle.

    This is from Wiki:
Cooper was appointed head coach of Championship club Nottingham Forest on 21 September 2021 on a two-year contract. At this point Nottingham Forest were bottom of the division.[38] Cooper improved Forest's style of play by encouraging them to be confident with the ball and attack in greater numbers. He also improved the mentality of the players, fostering a greater sense of togetherness,[39] and instilling a 'big club mentality'.[40] On 29 May 2022, Cooper led Nottingham Forest to gain promotion to the Premier League after a 1–0 win over Huddersfield Town in the Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium.[41]

He has done a fantastic job for them and is working with almost a completely new squad this season and his detractors are being very myopic.

Times linking us with Cooper and Marsch but not sure why Marsch would be interested?

If Cooper came we'd have to call him Tommy.

But he'd have to wear a fez to every match

I wanted to call him ‘Pooper’, as his name is S.Cooper.

Fitting if you think about it, since we need him to pick up our sh*t team.

Interesting article from News Now yesterday from the Mail Online about us having a look at Enzo Maresca (Man City Asst Manager)
If he is half as successful as Arteta both in results and performance then I would be happy with that appointment especially as the City Academy appears to be our feeder club

Might also add an additional lure for players from the city academy. Especially as it might mean us attempting to play a little more like city which would bolster their chances of getting re-signed. Or city allowing us to loan some of the ones they absolutely will not sell.

I read an article from a Manchester newspaper in January when we were linked with Delap and McAtee suggesting city wouldn’t loan then to us as our play style is too different and so experience playing in a different way wouldn’t have been thought of as particularly useful

Things change, but he was pretty awful when he managed Parma. Would be a massively risky appointment.

I expect many of the options we could attract will fall into the “risky” category. Although he has such limited experience it does seem to be riskier than many of the other names.

Clearly very highly rated by Pep and co at City though as he left City as head of the academy side (after winning the league) for the job at Parma, and they re-hired him as their assistant manager.

I think I'm scarred by promotions we've made in the past.

I don’t know enough about the manager’s available or their interest in joining; however, even though I’m Ralph In and was start of the season, it seems something has changed. Either he’s lost the players, or they’ve lost him… that said, there’s no guarantee of anyone else doing better.

Buying a lot of young players means they’ll come good in about a year or so. If we want someone to buy into the philosophy, very likely they’ll play in a very similar way to Ralph.

I always judge a manager by whether their coaching improves players. I think he used to…. But not any more. Sad as it is to say, think his time is done.

I am Ralph out but if/when he does go, the club need to do it with the respect Ralph deserves. He has done amazing things for the club, however he stories leaking out about him not talking to his players to me shows on the pitch. When a leader in any organization acts that way, their time is up.
Thanks for the memories Ralph and good luck in your future whatever that maybe.

Any management appointment is a risk, if we want to play it safe then we get Sean Dyche in. We all know he will shore up the defence and play simple football
