How? Why? He has performed pretty much as badly as Ralph if not worse but with more resources. If we think we are in a bad place then what must Villa think - one point ahead. I’ve said before if we had one of the two top strikers they have on their books we’d likely be well ahead of them. He doesn’t appear to know what he is doing. One week he tries out his wingers and the next he plays five primarily central midfielders / attacking midfielders

The point remains that if he can’t get a tune out of a side that can choose one or both of Ings and Watkins i don’t have a lot of faith in him getting much out of Adams and Armstrong

And far from the implication that he is underrated because he doesn’t have a fancy foreign name - I’d suggest he was overrated for having a very famous, member of the golden generation, name.
