Happily Ralph loves it here and we give him a level of control he wouldn’t get at a bigger club and a relationship with board that he would struggle to recreate elsewhere too

Maybe we should worry more about losing Martin Semmens?

Think I read somewhere before that they were late 70's / early 80's. No idea on the chimneys.
 
Guessing the chimneys may be the Rank Hovis mill. Sadly now being slowly demolished.
 
Top right is the old power station on the site of which Saints planned to build a new stadium in the late 70s but, like Pompey's new stadium, it was all a pipe dream. I can see the clock tower but the there are two chimneys I don't know about because they are before my time.

Apparently (according to my brother - who’s been a native of Southampton for 6 years longer than me) there was a power station down by the Lido and the other chimney IS Pirelli. Good call, Godders .....
