The 2 stooges have no say at the club now. If Stewart was to go it would be an offer to good to turn down. We are not the same club mate to what we were under Donald and his mate
Like I said previously, we’ll soon find out…

Agree with everything there, I just don’t trust the club currently to hold out for serious money…

I know what you mean, there's not much precedent for it in recent years to give you confidence. We've been canny in our buying but it's been on a strict budget, I don't think we'd make any daft sales but we don't really know at this point in the window.

Really hope that is true as it is a sign that we are kicking on. If the club then pull a rabbit out of the hat for a replacement then that is further proof that the data side is working

That's a good debate there. Be interested to see what the consensus is on this one :emoticon-0100-smile.

I think maybe at his best he's better than Colback, but Colback doesn't give the ball away as much?

He's improved a lot under Neil by keeping it simpler
.

That sentence says it all. Neil has clearly improved him and we've reaped the benefits. He seems to have taught him to keep things simple, not try to beat a man twice and just gets his head up and picks a pass. He's a good asset defensively and when he keeps things simple going forward he's a real team player as well as being creative.

What I don't understand is the small group of people who insist nothing is happening

This isn't unique to SAFC or the takeover thread, seems ubiquitous online. Feels like ~20% of people (online) are so insular they genuinely can't believe anything ever happens.

You bumped into a footballer, or whoever really, in the street and had a chat, even near their training ground or something? Plenty just can't believe it.

"Had a chat? **** off, didn't happen."

Deal is still one group. Ongoing still.

Rtg / hi.

11pm and someone will be lurking on here so they can post that you're lying and nothing's happening ...

... there's a weird clique who are desperate for things to remain as they are.

It's so they can be Sid James in 'Carry on Moaning' <laugh>

Of course not, but I’d love you to admit Methven is a Tory scumbag who’s one of the very worst things to have happened to this football club. Your defence of him in the past is an absolute disgrace.
It's not defence of him loads do not know how close we were to being bust.
It's a defence of them 2 initially stopped the rot.
We were ****ed mate, hemorrhaged money for 5 years,
It became apparent when Short stopped the cheques, contractors like us did not get paid for months for work we had done for the club, they came in and paid about 40 suppliers their money.
That's when they realised how bad the finances were.
I was owed over £11, 000.00 that to my business was a lot of money.
So pardon me if I don't jump on the bandwagon because what they did was get me paid.

Would be absolute madness to accept such a low fee. He’s young, has the right character, knows where the goal is, not injury prone and will only improve.

£4m is like a valuation from 10 years ago.
It would be nearer 10, IMHO.

Also this Tory scumbag crap, what's it got to do with footy loads up north voted Tory in the last election.
Is everyone who voted tory a scumbag ?

Don't we all mate. Everyone wants this done. It's sort of like a bad smell, lingering about.

Usually if something stinks you just find the cause of it and remove it. This is like a rat has died under your floorboards, you know its there somewhere but you cant quite just get to it to get rid

If he does not get 15 a week he will leave, and I told everyone on rtg that he had been watched since Nov last year and I got laughed at.
I spoke to a rangers scout then, and the Morales leaving would trigger an offer.

No doubt about it. The interest is real from rangers. I know a scout up there too, who used to be at Sunderland.

Had the club managed to sell him, as they were stupidly trying to do in January, we would not have went up.

He has affected games, made goals, played in numerous positions and improved under AN.

Virtually every player we have had is inconsistent at times, which is why we have been in League One, and why the players have been.

Gooch is well worth a contract, and will cost money to replace with little guarantee of getting a better or more committed player.

Yeah this.

Data backs it all up. Involved in more chance creation than any player at the club and 99% of other players in the league.

Quite interesting to hear that. I’m not saying they shouldn’t sell up as I’m sure Charlie and Stewart would agree their time had a natural lifespan at the club but if it was as bad as you say tough things had to be done to keep the club afloat, it explains why other stuff like cosmetic and youth players had to be sacrificed.

They should never ever be forgiven for their fire sale of any youth talent. Generational talent sold for peanuts. Disgrace.
