For me personally I was brought up being told you don't use bad language in front of ladies or children. To this day I don't think my mam has heard me swear ( that is a mark of respect ) my Dad swore like a trooper and I can swear with the best of them but I still try and respect how I was brought up. So I don't think it shows any difference to intelligence but in this world of political correctness and equality I believe that maybe we need to teach our kids about manners and gentlemanly conduct. I know that women swear as much if not more than men but at least if some respect is shown then maybe who knows . I guess it may be a generational thing. I don't get upset when people use bad language on here in fact I have/will as this is an open forum but if I was on the bus with my mam or if I was there and some people were using bad language and I could tell that people were uncomfortable with it I would speak up.Nope, but I reckon
Me as well. That said, when I’m using public transport the liberal use of “****” makes me cringe. I’ve challenged enough people about it as well. There is still a time and a place. Not “So I ****ing went to the ****ing shop and the assistant behind the ****ing counter....”
