My sister lives out there and my nephew says the word c u n t is used as a replacement for mate he says when your out with your mates it the most commonly used word, strange people
I found them to be really friendly and generous people in WA especially those born and bred there. Some of the expats whinged a bit but on the whole very friendly

Brexit is beyond me, we ( the plebs) get shafted regardless, COVID appears not to exist if you listen to some people I would disagree, it’s a real threat not being treat with sufficient seriousness by too many people, now the real conundrum SAFC, again I/we have no control over what happens with the club but we have become a bit laughable haven’t we, it’s on, it’s off, who knows, at a guess I think the suggestion put forward of it not being a takeover but a shuffling of shareholders is probably close to the mark, as I said originally “it’s all becoming a bit farcical”.

I don't think we're laughable at all.

We're the latest in a long line of clubs like Leeds, Villa, Sheff Utd, Wolves, Southampton, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Burnley, etc who dropped into the lower leagues, gone into admin, etc.

We're now being taken over and things will no doubt improve ... Bolton aren't laughable or farcical imo, just a victim of mismanagement and circumstances.

I remember Carlisle going from the very depths to the top of the 1st division ...

... they're in a current bad spell but I'm sure their supporters enjoyed their win last week.

Are they farcical?

Will probably get pelters for this but I believe he had the clubs best intentions from the start but went all in for promotion with no plan B...hence the desperation to buy Grigg. Like a lot of owners and managers we have had the passion around this club gets to you and you make rash decisions.

Saying that I lost all faith when he folded like a cheap suit after the fanzines announced that joint statement. He should have come out fighting and not hid under a rock.
From what I know, he (Chief Chancer) had lost it well before the season ended at Wembley and was actively looking for the way out. If you look at the Netflix ,will Grigg transfer fiasco, it was in plain sight back then , he had put everything on Black expecting to gain promotion. No, he was always going to sell up as soon as he could see a substantial profit. As for his actions following the RAWA statement last year, it showed just how much spine he actually had in his body. There's more spine in the back of a book than the Chancer will ever hope to have.

I think you’re skirting the issue, the farce I’m referring to is the *alleged* takeover, of course any persons involved aren’t going to go public with any developments, but the uncertainty around the *alleged* takeover has in my eyes become a situation worthy of the term farce.
You’re wise enough to see this but seem reluctant to admit it.

I believe 100% we're being taken over, that's why ...

... there's nothing *alleged* about it as far as I'm concerned.

I haven't seen outsiders calling the situation farcical. Do you see Newcastle's endless takeovers as farcical, or the Derby situation, the Charlton saga, etc?

If you choose to see us as farcical that's up to you, I disagree.

A little bit of topic, but I've just been reading about Northern Ireland's forthcoming 6 week lockdown in the New Year, and even Elite sport is not allowed, we have to get into at least the top 6 before any new English lockdown, because a new English lockdown is being talked about with these tougher measures being proposed. 6 weeks could end up being 6 months if things go tits up with the pandemic.

Fair do’s, you were also certain that FFP were going to change us beyond belief but I won’t hold that against you as I think that Donald screwed that up .

To be fair to smug when donald was pissed he was telling anyone who listened how amazing fpp were going to be. I know someone with a mutual friend to donald, and Donald was saying it was done

We've got no chance now with the 3 games we've postponed. We'll have 4 games in hand by the new year.

Good post, it'll be like what Germany is now over here come mid January. People will blow it over Christmas, simple as that. I reckon the numbers will be that great that the third lockdown will replicate the first, I reckon it will go on until the vaccine has massively been rolled out.

Obviously not. Otherwise we would indeed be "there"

Unfortunately, I can not dictate the speed at which legal representatives work.

Why are people who want a statement from the club looking at a rumour thread on a chat forum ...

... it's like asking a bloke at work if he thinks you have Covid <doh>

I have a son who is a partner in an international corporate law firm specialising in merger and acquisitions, he tells me things are manic this year. It seems that Covid19 has brought about more buyouts than normal but as most lawyers are working from home the whole process is dragging.
Maybe the club takeover is snarled up like so many others.
