That to me is disappointing then. There's no doubting his qualifications in the player development side, but there are many from Brum questioning his transfer dealings. Their first team haven't pulled many trees up. Had hoped for a separate DOF.

We're hiring a Head of Recruitment too. Speakman will focus on development whilst overseeing everything. Someone else will be in charge of transfers by the sounds of it.

Johnson is unemployed, hardly a tough ask to say hey do you fancy 2/3/4/5/600k a year and get a pay off when you do your usual trick of missing out on play offs <laugh>
Not sure what your point is? His usual trick isn’t missing out on playoffs in league one? It’s floating around the top end of the table in the championship. So I’m sure they will have had to persuade him to drop to league one. But carry on with the negativity marra, nobody is listening to you.

Appointing a failure and being happy about it isn’t being negative, it’s not being a happy clapping fanny.
Still, if the cap fits flower you be happy

I am sorry like. With all this happening today, there is literally no way you can be negative.

Safc have been crying out for an actual plan and structure change for years. It's literally happening now.

Have to be positive.

We have the most bi polar fan base in world football to be fair. One win and Johnson will be getting chaired round Witherwack

Alardyce, Keane, Pearson were always out of our league in my opinion. Poyet was crap by the end of his stint in charge and I was glad to see the back of the crab football. I thought it might be a foreign manager this time, but if Johnson is the man all we can do is hope it works out well.
I always remember how underwhelmed we all were when Supa Kev signed, but look how that turned out.
Keep the faith!

Spot on mate.... very impressive Speakman interview too. Certainly seems like the ownership group ,as he calls it, is definately thinking along the right lines for which we’ve been crying out for years!

Just watched that and I’m very impressed with what he has to say. I know we have heard ‘the talk’ before but this feels different, he wants to be here and wants success for our football club.
If you haven’t watched it yet I urge you to do so.
I enjoyed it. Definitely knows what he is doing and understands the size of the task ahead. He will need time of course but I'm very happy to have him on board from what I've read and heard about him.
