Pretty embarased by some of these reactions frankly.

Concord Rangers - three promotions up to their highest ever position
Braintree (one season) - took to highest ever league position
Lincoln - 2 promotions in 3 years to their highest ever league position
Huddersfield - took the team bottom of the table with 1 point in 7 games to safety. If the season only took place whilst he was manager they'd have finished 9th.

Forget anything else - he has a record of achieving or even over-achieving.

Is he perfect? No.

But people are acting like he's the worst choice in the world. Grow up.
Hows he not perfect he ticks alot of boxes and is a long term manager

2 weeks ago I’d of been all up for cowley to be honest. Seems like a good bloke, forward thinking and well prepped with his “footballing bible”. The style might be ****e but remember we didn’t exactly turn in to Barcelona under allardyce, we just won games which is what we need now.

think with us all being ready for gus anyone in our minds is going to be a right let down unless they pulled some exotic unknown European in. The main thing for me is that he fits the structure, understands and accepts it.

I threw away £73 yesterday on Poyet and was really cheesed off.

But I've just had a bit of good news, not the managers job, and hoping it's out tonight.
Sorry if you’re getting badgered mate, but do you mean out tonight in the press, or just in here? I’m happy with either btw :emoticon-0102-bigsm

If anybody thinks appointing the Cowley's PROVES that Donald and Methven are making decisions - there's no hope for you.

Of course it doesn't prove it. And it may be that there are new people involved who have earmarked Danny Cowley as their man, and he will have my support if he arrives . (I say Danny as he seems to be the lead , and there really must be a lead figure, one manager, whoever is his assistant or partner.)

But as things currently sit, with no official confirmation of new owner-ship and the familiar sense of chaos and dysfunction in the air, it is not at all unreasonable for some to think that the chancers are still having too much of a sayl.

We'll see soon I imagine, and I myself am comfortable assuming that there is some good change on the way, but dismissing it out of hand is not in line with what we actually know, and can see at the moment

I’m pretty embarrassed by the football club

It's about to change mate.

I was knocked back, yesterday, but I'm just waiting for some really exciting news.

A few people believe it but no one is posting.

The end is nigh ...

I understand if you can't comment but did this news have anything to do with the name that Tom White mentioned in that What the Falk podcast?

Cowley just smacks of a cheap un ambitious appointment. Was hoping we might get a statement of intent appointment. Cannot understand why we are not trying to get Pearson and SKP now we wont pay Poyet what he wants (apparently)
Do you know it’s a lot worse to employ a person over qualified for a job than it is to employ a person under qualified for a job a person under qualified can learn as they go a person over qualified just thinks I’m better than this s hite believe me I’ve done it.

Nobody has reported that. Sky reported it was because he didn’t want to come to League One. Poyet’s son suggested on twitter that it had nothing to do with money. So there is no indication we aren’t prepared to splash the cash. By all accounts it’s because the new owners want to preserve their DoF model. Which would suggest the opposite of what you are saying and that the takeover very much is happening.
Or maybe he didn’t fancy league 1 because it doesn’t pay much. He didn’t say what was wrong with managing in league one so it’s fair to assume league 1 money wasn’t what he needed “ at this stage of his career “
