As mentioned above it was about 8000 a game as I remember thinking that it was nowt special really. Far more than many mind but not for us.

A lot of season ticket holders just won't be bothering most games. I know 4 and of that four only one has bothered. The others have either listened on the radio or just simply done other things

don't expect immediate. Has till January

I wouldn't expect anyone to be sacked when they are averaging over 2 points a game no matter how turgid the football. It's promotion form and we've had it since just after Christmas and are continuing it well into this season

Absolutely mate, it's a great board where people pop in and out for a chat.

I'm just tired of all the takeover saga. By accident I came into contact with a close friend of Fuhrman at exactly the time he said 'I've just bought Sunderland'. You can imagine how that felt as a lifelong supporter.

I was told all sorts and allowed to talk about it. As a result of my posts I was contacted by other people, including one at the club, who passed on info they couldn't, or didn't want to, post.

It was all like a dream until the terms of the deal changed at the very last moment and the whole thing fell apart. There had been a purchase company created, the address registered as the SOL and the buyers openly appeared at matches.

There was a huge sense of disappointment and anger, much of which was directed at me being the most convenient and accessible target.

That's fair enough, as you reap what you sow, but some of it, which still occurs, is ridiculous. As a fanatical supporter for over half a century its sad that I've become an ongoing target of fellow supporters. These same people throw up their hands in faux horror when I respond in kind.

All they do is scare off other people with genuine info that we'd all appreciate. One lad @Starsky refused to post until this last week. He has a mate who's a close friend of Donald in Oxford who knows exactly what's going on, but Starsky, having seen the abuse @Prehab26, etc, has received, didn't want to post honest information for fear of being attacked by fellow supporters ... what a shame some people can stoop so low, the so called ITK's have been called vermin, etc, just this week. People continually try to pin you down, ask for more info, times, dates, names, etc then throw it back in your face if anything changes.

Anyway, that ramble is for you and anyone else, who's not familiar with the general situation. I'm not speaking for me alone, but for everyone who's had to put up with these idiots.

Plus I'm sitting here bored, quietly waiting for Mrs Smug to wake up and make my breakfast ...

... I'm absolutely starving <laugh>

How hard is it to make a cup of tea and put some milk in a bowl of muesli?

Yes mate, just had my third coffee shot so I'm buzzing now ...

... and yes the price of bread is still controlled <laugh>

Just printing off my permit to allow us to leave the house for shopping in Carcassonne.

You lucky devil. Carcassonne is absolutely stunning. Went there a few years back. Now I’m into my cycling I’m looking forward to heading out that way on my bike

Is a tricky one. I agree, a sacking after 2 points a game would be harsh. That being said, rightly or wrongly, new owners will want positivity throughout the club. Whilst he's here people will constantly be bored sick of the football and every draw or defeat will be met with cries of "ffs can we not just sack this bloke". Despite how harsh it would be, if they had a good manager lined up, would anyone really mind? Equally, if they thought he wouldn't be the right long term option and they wanted to spend a bit in January, would it really be worth letting him do it? I suppose they could just ensure he had no say in recruitment, but then he'd be having his hands tied a bit and again might as well be released. From what prehab says it sounds like he's going to get a bit of time, but I wouldn't mind if they peddled him if they're genuinely ambitious.

I lurked for years on RTG then began to post a bit and this year learned about this forum. I can honestly say I very rarely go back on RTG now. I’ve never had any issues with anyone but it’s a typical example of how “some” people will behave like bellends because the internet makes you anonymous.
I enjoy this board in the main and enjoy the info you and the other lads post for what it is. If it doesn’t come off, so be it, but it’s good to feel that something positive might happen to our club because we need it desperately.

ignore the arseholes and keep going with it. This stuff keeps me positive in a time when I could easily have just chucked the whole lot in cos I’ve never felt so disconnected to my club in nearly 40 years as I do now.

I'm still not convinced Parky has the ambition required to get us promoted. The last couple of league games we've looked to be labouring towards a draw after uninspiring performances only to be rescued by a red card and a late penalty. There will be games where we have to dig in to get the points and I'm not convinced he can change the game via a tactical switch or from the bench.

We're too one-paced and only seem to have one way of playing.

I just can’t believe why people give as much crap as they do to people who have info.

I think this goes back to the RTG days of the whole Jan Koller thing. Since then no one knows if they are piss taking or trying to be genuine hence why the **** gets thrown.

I just hope this gets to a satisfactory conclusion and we can all get on with supporting the club we all love. I havent had a season ticket for a few years now but if this all goes off according to plan I may well buy one again.

Just on the subject of it being harsh sacking parkinson due fo his 2 points a game ratio. So if we get promoted a take it that it will be harsh sacking him then aswell. Personally a wouldnt want him anywhere near a championship team.
Brave ambitious owners won’t worry about that mate. Nigel Pearson shouldn’t have been sacked by Leicester, that turned out canny.
