If it all goes through ok one of the most satisfying parts of it will be the vindication for you and a few others on this thread. The abuse that has been thrown about going as far back as last year is a complete joke. I’ll never understand why if people don’t believe something that cant just ignore it and move on they have have a little dig. If it does happen there are a few I’d like to see hold their hands up and admit they were wrong just as they would expect others to do if it doesn’t happen. Hopefully on to better things for all of us
Cheers for the info @Prehab26 Does this look like being completed before the new year? Would go great to go into the transfer window with a bit of ambition
I was surprised in the end at what Allardyce turned us into. Solid, organised, direct, pace in the right places etc. What we are being served up now is awful. On a par with Moyes and some of the later stuff under O'Neil for me even though we've been picking up points. Poyet is the only manager in recent years who has had us playing out from the back with a style. You could see his impact after a couple of games in what he was attempting. Bang on about Embleton, he looks the part in my opinion.
Cheers, so this new person or persons buying in but because Don still having 10% to sit in the background it's not a takeover? Probably sell his 10% in the future for a profit. Any word on the when for the announcement or not that close.
I renewed my season card, under Short heading into leauge one as did many others. Once they took over I can honestly say I kept them at arms length. The two relegations battered me and we and took it out of us. They came in, talked the talk and were too quick imo to just say yes to everything asked, no matter what it was on the podcasts. Like a "yeah, why not".So I sat back and waited to be impressed. Poor transfer window and I was told very early on that by someone that would know about the situation with the youth players going to be leaving, few weeks later it started happening. All the stuff slagging the fans off etc was the final straw for me. They'll go down in History as the owners that overseen the worsed time in the clubs history.
from what i read Prehab and smugs new news flash it could be imminent as early as days aways, but the bad news was they wanted it to be a total take over but Donald wanted to retain 10% for a high fee to sell, but if he doesnt match what the new guys put in it could be bad for him, dont know whats happening with the ffp loan wasnt mentioned where i read
I heard a story recently on Talksport that some bloke was in a gym telling someone that he needed to raise 25k or something to take his bairn to America for an operation or something, Dyer overheard, asked the crack then wrote him a cheque for the amount. Told the bloke the only condition for the money was not to go public with it at the time. Clearly liked coming across as a prick.
Nice one mate. Well, these people clearly see the value of the club and see 10% as a small price to pay for an eventual buy out. I'll say again what I said last night, if these are people with money, footballing knowledge and vision, go and try and sell that vision to Eddie Howe.
I understand, however, unfortunately this past 18 months he has been defined as the go to bloke for takeover information. I just hope he isn't blown out by it all. I said the other night he seems an interesting gentleman.
he stated earlier that he can't wait for it to be over and get back to supporting the lads with a new manager and owner
i can't wait for the weekend maybe an announcement , im hoping its as soon as that as all the loose ends have been tied up apparently
