Wasn't going to post but sod it.

I was told earlier there's a 'Microsoft Teams' meeting on Tuesday to finalise what to announce. In all honesty I had to Google 'Microsoft Teams' but it seems to be what you see on Question Time.

The lad who sent me this info isn't a lifelong friend but he's lifelong Sunderland supporter.

FFS, let it be true.

I am also a lifelong Sunderland fan.

I have heard that they'll be a pistols at dawn appraoch to the takeover.

Donald v Storey, whomever wins gets control of the club.

Whomever loses, gets their body flung over the Wearmouth bridge into the River Wear.

In that scenario, whomever wins should suffer the same fate!

Got to fancy Storey for it, he already looks like the reincarnation of a frontiersman from 1810 and a gut shot on Donald would be hard to miss.

Aren't we all lifelong Sunderland supporters

Not all of them but the likes of Hume and O’Nien put some to shame.

Wyke plays the part of a centre forward but isn't convincing, Power doesn't lead by example and others like Gooch and Maguire have games when they seem to vanish.

Overall there's often little real edge, excitement and apparent hunger ...

... Rochdale was too typical.

The manager's sleepy Joe persona seems to reflect on the team.

Bang on with this Smug. This kind of thing should never be under estimated.

We need, especially in this division - and the one above it if we ever get back there - a man who bristles with confidence and is not afraid to talk about promotion, and how it should be a clear target and expectation. Footballers are the same as everyone else in that, by and large, they will accept an excuse and prefer low expectations to high ones.

In recent years, Keegan, for all the stick he took, was talking about promotion before the beginning of his first season as manager with that lot. He made it clear that he expected it, that the players should too, and not to achieve it would be a failure. Reidy was not afraid to talk about it either, and both managers either got the players to believe in the goal or got new players, not necessarily great ones but players with bottle and character. It is not surprising that these two are the best either club has had in many decades.

PP is used to fire fighting and doing okay. That won't work here.

Been gone from 606 for over a month. Quick summary of what I've missed anyone?

Club CEO has spoken about the takeover which confirms what Nick Barnes said.

That's a significant and welcome change.

There's also been national newspaper reports of other interested parties.

Various people, including myself, have had good info about progress.

Donald and Methven are nowhere to be seen at an important time for the club.

So, things appear to be moving imo.

Footballers are like students in a lockdown ...

... give them the slightest excuse and they'll take it, every time.

Parkinson bigs the opposition up before every game.

"It'll be a tough game at ******."

FFS man, show some belief.

I see over the road are at it again. Mocking people who have no reason or benefit to lie regarding the takeover.
Wouldn’t bother looking mate. Too many people who love to see Sunderland struggle or derail every conversation with zany banter.

It amazes me how many more people post on there, yet most of the stuff on it is copied from this thread or slagging it off to make themselves feel better <laugh>

should be like Shankly used to be. read the opposition team out then hoy the team sheet in the bin, saying they had nothing to beat there.
