Bob has never got a single thing right. If anyone can share a link to anything he has ever called before it happens i would love to see it
I asked gilly to do this on RTG and didn’t get a reply to that one. I told him to come back to me when he could prove to me/us something Bob has got right, before the info hit the news itself. He didn’t respond.

We just get the usual ‘ believe me, I know his info is spot on, I can vouch for it ‘ crap.

It’s just silly and doesn’t bring anything to either board, I don’t ‘ dislike ‘ these people, just can’t be arsed with the constant need to try and appear relevant (Bob) and the others running around after him.

Again I find myself pulled into an argument I don't actually went anything to do with, yes Bob has privately got loads right before it's happened.

He has also proven unequivocally to me in other ways he has direct contact with our owners, I suppose the question I'm sure even Bob doesn't know is can you trust what they tell him...

I’ll take this then. I remember you from RTG back in the early days I posted. You always seemed like a genuine lad.

I always just wonder why he saves his accurate information for PMs between a few people he likes, and then posts loads of stuff on the main board that is either so cryptic it's useless, or turns out to be bollocks? Said it before, but if he just wants to share accurate stuff with a few, why not just retire the madbob account and set up a WhatsApp group?

What did he get right privately?

No idea.

If we get new owners who want to invest and improve the local area (as previously discussed last year) which creates jobs and boosts the local economy will the mags be chuffed to bits? As we all know that was the biggest disappointment for them when the saudi deal died.

The most clever post I've seen this year, and it's October ...

... you're in for the big cash prize of 2020!!!

The full regeneration plans have been unveiled today for around the stadium sheepfolds and on the Vaux side, they will be linked by 2 bridges, surely any investors / buyers in the club have got to be looking at this or get involved, commercial future revenues around the stadium will have massive potential......its all pretty impressive stuff, theres a lot of money getting spent in and around Sunderland at the minute - Just not the football club!
A great opportunity for our club to become involved, something @Smug in Boots informed us about a year ago. I just hope that all of this uncertainty around ownership doesn't prevent us from being a major part of the regeneration.

By the law of averages we must get a break at some point in time ....

... FFS, the Sunderland area has been kicked in the teeth more often than a midget in a donkey sanctuary.

(I should say, at this point, I'm plastered and my spelling and grammar may suffer. I can't get home to see my family so am gradually going insane.)

The greedy chancer hasn't just screwed the club he's screwed the city and the region because any investment benefits the whole region

Boris has promised he won't desert places like Sunderland which supported him in the election ...

... in reality the tosser couldn't point at the town on Google Maps <doh>

The plans were extensive and basically meant FPP involving the council, Uni, local business, etc, taking the credit and reaping the rewards.

The general concept was that it would all feed on itself with outside speculators getting excited, putting money in, which would, in turn, attract more.

This next bit is just my speculation based on what a friend told me, he has a financial interest as I mentioned at the time. One wish was for Sheepfolds to become a Tech Park with a much improved Metro station, riverside apartments and bars, dining and a 'mini-marina'. It all sounds a bit of a stretch but money generates money so who knows..

At the time we were laughing about pulling a boat onto the jetty, having a few pints and getting the lift up to the Metro station and the ground.

I was absolutely floored when it all fell apart.

certain people will want ALL the credit for anything that happens, they will not want an american based company getting any credit, just read all the usual back slapping reports about this (and other) developments...what is best for the city and people stopped being important years ago and turned into 'what is best for some peoples back pockets'...would not be surprised if people outside the club had a few words to say about FPP 'taking over'.

still beats me why the city has never looked at the possibility of a 'riverside center' similar to the quayside, with a little thought they could even make it unique by using the bankside to create 'caverns' to hold pubs/restaraunts/motel type buildings a bit like the underground motels at Coober Pedy in Australia, they are nowt flash and once inside pretty much like any other motel room in the world but unique with the underground thing.

the city has so much scope but ideas (imho) have been misplaced for years, quick profit-back pocket seems the way now.
