I've been a SAFC fan for over 35 years, I love my club. Through the good and bad times I've never stopped believing something amazing would happen..our fans deserve it in my opinion..

I loved our time when Reid was in charge..I was at Sunderland Uni then..great times. (Meeting Lionel Perez and drinking with Lillian Lasanders..if people remember him).

The info I get is credible..some I share some I dont. However, I was told that the club would not be doing a running commentary about the takeover..but it was important to me to share that date with the fans. I believe that if it does fall through..it will be Donald's fault and his demands...but fingers crossed that after that date we can move forward together with a strong vision and club unity.

FTM
Cheers mate

Did Smug reveal his jewel to the public or at least say he was happy with his jewel?

These are good signs. Can now make this 2 journalists reporting it and the club acknowledging it. This time last week it was just 1 journo who has gone quiet.

Although not happy about them retaining any shares if thats what it takes to move on then so be it. I am sure we can get rid of asap after the deal is struck.

The least % Donald keeps the better. That has always been the reason for the delay in this deal. Obviously covid is a wonderful excuse to use. I am just hoping it's a very small % he retains, I think it will be so that pleases me.

Initially, it was mooted and I wanted it to be a total clean slate. However, this looks to still be a takeover and Donald and his cronies will have minimal say anyway. That is a positive. Got to take them when we can these days.

Important to keep Dave Jones heavily involved too.

Tell you what if it was Ellis Short I’d be pretty pleased as I’m certain he’d do things differently - especially with the likes of David Jones involved now to help guide.

Although Chris Wetherspoon if you’re reading this, you’ll have to get working on a threequel to Short Changed. :D

Cheers mate...When things get confirmed, yourself and all the posters that have been providing snippets of info and keeping our spirits up, you all deserve a virtual handshake and pint bought for them.. Much appreciated

That's what the relentlessly negative 'nowts happening' brigade miss ...

... we're a massive club with huge potential, the right owner could have us flying.

We don't currently have the right owner, that's all.

But we deserve a bit of hope and optimism.
