On this whole breaking an NDA thing.

I signed one on Friday with a company that could buy Sunderland out a thousand times over, more than happy to break it through PM.

It's an absolute snooze so do not get excited expecting something of any interest whatsoever.

Just proving a point.

NDAs aren't worth the paper they're written on.
This is the weird thing for me. You would think this is on the level of Apple buying Google or something. This take-over in the grand scheme of things is really chicken feed, but it really has been long and drawn out which at times is bordering on farcical. For those who are genuinely interested in buying our great club, they need to do something as the asset value of the club is declining exponentially as each season passes...this whole procrastination thing is a mystery to me.

It doesn't fill me with any confidence whatsoever.

My thoughts on this just recently have been that SD wants to appear like he desperate to sell and getting the word out that various people are in the frame...now we read that one has shown proof of funds. In reality, he is clinging on with no intention to sell whatsoever as the gamble on us getting promoted would add a few million to his sale price. I may be 100% wrong, I hope I am, but I just don't see the reason why interested parties have not got over the line with what should be a straight forward purchase...and not a very big one at that,

It would really concern me that the new people would let themselves be strung along like that. I'm hoping it's something else.

It's weird that it has taken this long though, that's for sure.

Why would they (the buyers) want it done quickly when one of their main revenue streams are currently unavailable?

Yeah that's a very fair point.

I would just hope any prospective owner would want to get it done and to get the work started. Mainly to stop any potential damage being done by the clown in charge in the mean time.

But yeah, you're spot on.

Whilst we are there, or thereabouts, then as long as it's this side of the next transfer window, it doesn't really matter to them. Whilst there are still no fans in the ground, I feel this is still a valid point.
You're probably right in one sense, but it does (for me) discount any involvement from those who were in the for club at the start, otherwise this deal would have been put to bed a while ago. It suggests to me another name in the frame

When I listened to the Rodwell podcast I got impression that it's not going to go through until there's more certainty on fans and bailouts.

That sounds about right although I believe that there's an offer on the table from FPP that's been gathering dust.

Rodwell's statement means that Nick Barnes was right and the people who claimed that it was club promoted lies were wrong. It was poor, imo, how the bloke was called a clown, puppet, etc.

I've been a SAFC fan for over 35 years, I love my club. Through the good and bad times I've never stopped believing something amazing would happen..our fans deserve it in my opinion..

I loved our time when Reid was in charge..I was at Sunderland Uni then..great times. (Meeting Lionel Perez and drinking with Lillian Lasanders..if people remember him).

The info I get is credible..some I share some I dont. However, I was told that the club would not be doing a running commentary about the takeover..but it was important to me to share that date with the fans. I believe that if it does fall through..it will be Donald's fault and his demands...but fingers crossed that after that date we can move forward together with a strong vision and club unity.
