I see that Chris Weatherspoon has heard very similar to me in terms of misinformation over the takeover and nothing being likely to happen soon. Not sure what good a protest would do, and when we could realistically stage one, but if there's a way of ramping pressure up on Donald we need to be looking into doing it imo

Wish they would get punted,

Apart from the detailed negotiators no one really knows the detail but inevitably people will be giving folk they know thumbs up or down. Some on RTG always turn on people who say stuff - doesn’t mean they’re wrong it’s just that things aren’t always simple. It’s like with PP people said he would be **** now they want him to be !! Same with posters.

I hope he sells up sooner rather then later but have a feeling he may try and see where we are about the halfway point again. He will be banking on other teams not being able to massively improve and the likes of Charlton Wigan been in the trouble.
Aye so January window will be ****ed like the rest of them under him.

Ain’t that the unfortunate truth :emoticon-0148-yes:

People pass on information of what they’ve heard about a takeover, have been specific about percentages etc and some people choose to not believe what they say and mock them.

Someone tweets a few things based on gut feeling and those same people believe every word and mock those who passed on information.

Quite pathetic

Donald can easily remark that no one is close to taking over.

That doesn't break any NDA and sounds profound but 'not close' is absolutely meaningless ...

... I'm not close to buying a new tractor but see a good deal tomorrow and I'd be riding it round the property this weekend.

Words are just words and all kinds of meanings can be read into them ...

... people have been hung because of it.

Spot on.

To be honest hinting that it’s not close could be just a way of haggling.

It might just be the club calming down the punters as they know that it's going to be a month yet and everyone is waiting on something imminent.

But what about the what ifs? What if there is a second wave of covid? what if they don’t allow clubs back to full capacity? What if we enter a November lockdown? He simply must sell.

I spoke to someone very close to things going on a couple weeks ago and his reaction to my question of whats happenning with the takeover left me in no doubt there was no takeover happening anytime soon. The person may have been keeping cards close to his chest and all that but his other comment about 'no one will be concerned if we win the first 6 games' stunk of something that donald would have spewed out to him amongst his other bullshit.

If this is true (I’ve no reason to disbelieve, it’s something you’ve been told by someone you trust) then the pressure on Donald will be 50x higher should we not get off to a flyer. 2/3 defeats in our 1st 6 or so games will crank it right up

No mate i wasnt told be someone i trust, just happened to bump into someone who would know. Like i said didnt care that they may have been cagey about what they said regarding takeover. It was the blase comment about safc fans wont give a fook if we win the first 6 games got me thinking these people really believe this.
