I’d rather we played it mid March as planned.
Win or lose get it out of the way and onto the rest of the season and hopefully promotion.

Liverpool and the NE have had some very high rates of Covid infection and fatalities ...

.... it's a game everyone will be able to watch on TV.

Just get on with it.

Let's not postpone the PJ Trophy, on the off-chance that fans COULD be allowed into the ground. It isn't for certain yet, we postpone it past 17th May and allow fans (Data depending), it'll be in the middle of play-off season and they're still awaiting last season's final to be played, oh, and we could also be in the play-offs this season.

If we postpone it to next season it could potentially be a Championship side facing a L2 team in a trophy. Leave it on March 14th, with no fans. Let the fans in for the play-offs, if we get them and if we need them. (I'm hoping we go up automatically)
I know fans might like a day at Wembley but in my opinion it is a distraction that carries no prize. I for one will not be telling my grandkids about a glorious victory in the papa John's trophy in 30 years time but will still regale them about our glorious victory in 1973. Hopefully that may put things in perspective. It's good that we seem to be winning games but to be fair for me this trophy means nothing and I would not want to be distracted from the task at hand which is promotion

I would go for May for the reason I think we would have a better chance of winning due to hopefully having more defenders fit.

Changes at the club coming thick and fast and I love it. I disagreed with when Kevin Phillps the other day when he basically said get out of the leauge first then concentrate on all the other stuff. Best way is to stamp a sentiment of content from the off to show we mean business. No matter what people think of modern day players, they are only human and are impressed by actions. Say we do go up this season and we are after certain players, having an ora of we know what we are doing, quality pitch, better streaming services, world class training complex etc could be the difference between a player choosing us over let's say London club, Midlands or even a lower level premier league club. The only way is up.

Cometely agree mate.

Another big part of if we could go up this season is we have so many players out of contract at the end of season, wpuld practically almost be a blank slate to build a squad with for championship without having to shift players on.

If we domt go up, at least we have fantastic foundations for a plan forward...but we would have to buy some players to get us out of league 1 who may well not be good enough for the championship & have a job trying to shift them on.

Now is the ideal time to go up

Not being arrogant here, but its Tranmere Rovers we're playing not Melchester Rovers.

True but they've beaten some good teams and I remember Brian Clough scoffing at the thought we could beat Leeds just before we beat them.

Bailey Wright might be out, if Sanderson got injured we would find it hard as we could be really on our bones.

Agreed. If we are in a position to spend a few quid,I've always said if you want to get out of one leauge, try and get some players from the league above.

I agree things need put into perspective and I remember Roy Keane denying the team a victory parade when we won the championship. That was because we should be better than that if the club performs to its potential. However we’re at the bottom of a very high ladder at the minute and every little victory helps. If these players win the Pizza Cup and it makes them feel on top of the world then that bodes well for the rest of the season. I want this squad to be flying high with confidence even if it means winning a Micky mouse trophy to achieve it. Winning is a good habit to have

The nits are the eggs, the lops are the adult lice > the things that cause the irritation > donald and methane.
I think Fleas (lops) are a different animal altogether. Head lice don't jump like fleas they just wander about and crawl between hosts that struggle to stay apart - kids. Fleas dont infest humans either.

I just hope that if we do win it, then it serves as a reminder of how far the club has fallen in recent years that they have to compete for a trophy like this and that they don’t want to be in that position ever again.

Be a sickener us winning at Wembley and not being there to see it, but for the greater good I’d say leave it as it is.

Enjoyable as it would be, it’s the Papà Johns trophy, we won’t be talking about it like Monty’s save and Porterfield in 50 year.

Focus on getting back into SOL for next season, and a Wear/Tyne derby in the league.
