Quite agree mate, but like I say he isn’t the rat, or others of his ilk who pour scorn on ITK’s because they couldn’t possibly know something, he’s just heard different. There isn’t one person on this board who would sit down, drink with him and not get along. He will have some great stories to share also, he’s frustrated and thinks the wool is being pulled over our eyes about the whole takeover thing. He obviously doesn’t want SD or CM anywhere near the club and that is where his infuriation lies.
And everybody else’s, mate, but we aren’t all acting like fannies.

I’m sure it depends on how the rich kid puts the money in.

It could be classed as A loan and Donald doesn’t have to put money in

Sure Grumpy Old Man said so on the other site

Yeah I think he said if it was a loan, the others aren't obliged to put any in, but if it's a share issue, if they don't put in to their % their overall shareholding % would drop.
i.e. if 1 million new shares were issued and he holds 15% he'd need to buy 150,000 of them to keep the same overall shareholding.

so come on Sunderland and get some new shares issued force his hand one way or the other.

Its an interesting delay considering they are clearly hiring people and actively involved already. Anyone got any ideas why the delay?

They would not be saying the ownership group if it's not been done, and importantly hiring and firing people.
Getting these people in place is only rubber stamped by Donald at best

Sadly just heard the great Peger Alliss has past away RiP

We all express ourselves in different ways mate, that’s what makes the world go round. Like I say, he isn’t like the rat, he is genuine lad frustrated with the way things are going. And anything but a fanny as well, you can’t judge someone’s character from a few words on the internet. If I was in a corner he would be one I would want to call on, alongside smug by the sound of things.

the problem with paying under 21's good wages is that once they pass 21 their wages will need to be counted (if this stupid wage cap is kept) meaning that they would most likely need to take a wage cut or leave, and then we have the same contract arguments that we have had for years.

Only if we don’t get promoted. The championship doesn’t have a wage cap. Of ha e I got that wrong

Thought it was common knowledge that bonuses don’t count towards salary cap so there are ways around it. Or have I got that completely wrong?
It’s not common knowledge with me
I might have got it wrong. I hope there’s a way to go about dismantling those from our squad who won’t play a part going forward and replacing them with players with pace and power as LJ has alluded to. I guess that we’ll find out in January

It would seem that since we hit this **** league everything has transpired to keep us there. We had the unfair finish due to covid, we’ve had the salary cap and now this bail out ****. Unfortunately we are a big club in a small pond, but all of the other little fish want to keep us there because we provide them with riches every now and again. Whilst it’s great watching your side away from home, Sunderland fans shouldn’t entertain the likes of those clubs. Imagine not buying tickets but going down in your thousands to sit in the pubs in and around the grounds.

Employ Harry Redknap and his stationary of brown envelopes. I am sure there will be clever barristers and accountants looking at loopholes to exploit this.

did they not set one at 18M for championship?...either way, if we are stuck in div 3 (we all thought we would be out at 1st try) we have to count them.

Here’s a question.

I’ve read on here that many think SD is holding on to his 15% so that when we get sorted out and are back where we belong he will be able to sell for a good profit.
That’s fair enough but here’s the question.
Is he expecting Dreyfuss to come in and splash out 20-30million but not have to contribute anything himself.
He can’t expect to cash in on Dreyfuss spending huge sums.

For every £10 million spent he should pay £1.5 million (and CM £0.5 million) otherwise it’s totally unfair.

Anybody know how this works?

I don't have a clue about all this stuff despite clever people emailing me things I don't understand.

Grumpy Old Man tries explaining but I just nod and grin like someone speaking to me in Greek.

But what I have ascertained is that Dreyfus has a technique that will isolate Donald and Methven.

Those two clowns think they've played a blinder but I believe they'll be frozen out.

From what I can grasp, very little tbh, the company Dreyfus and Sartori will use to buy the club won't include Donald & Methven.

So they'll own a company called Madrox which has a small stake in a company called SAFC or summat, can't remember cos I've had a few drinks tbh.

The new people can then do whatever they choose including selling the stadium, or naming rights, the AOL, etc.

So Madrox would end up owning shares in a club with no ground or training facilities.

Sorry for the ramble, the drink's kicking in which is Mrs Smug's fault, but I hope it makes sense.

Shame these people aren't talking to GOM, or someone intelligent, but it all sounds good to me.

I'm just a happy idiot with spellcheck <party>

This sounds like what one or two others have alluded to.

Sartori and KLD would own 50% each of a new company and that new company buys the 80% of shares not owned by Donald & Methven. Therefore the makeup is
Newco 80%
Donald 15%
Methven 5%

Donald and Methven have no say what happens with the Newco which now owns 80% of the club.

To me this is better than the other scenario of Sartori and KLD having 40% each and Donald and Methven having their 15% and 5%.

Has anyone got any intel on when takeover announced then?

Obviously gone a bit quiet what with all the other changes.
