Its such a fantastic coup for a club at out level to get Poyet. He would laugh at every single other club in the league if they had approached him What it does highlight is these new blokes are very ambitious and that in itself is the most exciting thing here
How is gus gonna protect the keeper playing from the back? I'd have gone for cook, but good luck Gus, the Italian restaurant down Sunniside will be happy
My Dad just text me "isn't this a backwards step"? Erm, yep - back to the Premier League. Thanks Dad.
I don’t think anyone’s ‘Uber positive’. There’s an air of rationality here sadly missing on RTG that makes it perhaps seem so.
I'm sure Chris wouldn't mind me posting this here. He's clearly on board with this. Whether this "proves" Sartori has picked the guy rather than Methven will be largely irrelevant. It's our club - we all want this club back in the Premier League, we might just disagree with the road to get there. Tensions understandably high when you're at the bottom. We are about to get a lift in a bus back up.
1/3 in betting now. I wanted him gone when he was here previously, but I think I was wrong with that. He needs time and patience now to get us playing a style of football throughout the club, and to get us back up. All aboard the Gus Bus
Agreed, my only worry is before we played in the prem and teams wanted to beat us, teams in this league would without exception take a point against us even though our team isn't that good, this is gonna be a different kind of challenge for him, Ross struggled with that imo he was very unfortunate over his time with that sort of thing.
Yeah I know but like I mentioned they have said in an interview before that they are ready to come back and film something if anything interesting happened i.e. a takeover, title win or play off final. Kind of like how the Leeds documentary had a 3 episode second season for their promotion.
That is a bit revisionist regarding Bruce mind. The crowd did not hound him out early at all. He started well, had an absolutely appalling run but we still stayed up and no hounding from the crowd that I heard. Same the next year really, very good start and then dramatic fall off but okay in the end. Among all of that were pitiful efforts in the cups, and pitiful efforts in tbe derbies. In the end Bruce wanted out because his annual mass team juggling hadn't worked and he was lost. It is Bruce's own ,after the fact, protestations that have given a false impression that he was hounded out. Only very late in tbe day, after a grotesque home record over many, many months did fans snap.
Gus still 2/5 on Bet Victor. I've not put anything on and really regretting it now. But those odds aren't big enough for me to risk it.
You've had more likes on here than you've had dissension mate. I'm sure I speak for many when I say a massive thank you to you for having the guts to post in good faith what you have been told. Yeah there were some wrong bits, but the gist of it was right. We are going to get a new manager and new owners, just like you said. Give yourself a big pat on the back, and regret nothing.
