Let's be honest, no matter how negative I feel right now, this is city after all, no one expected us to play the way we did vs Chelsea. So the team may surprise us a few more times until the end. Also I think our results will depend on if teams like Man u/Arsenal/Spurs still have something to play for. Southampton 1 Liverpool 0 Crystal Palace 1 Arsenal 0 Burnley 1 Tottenham 1 Man Utd 1
I think we'll only get 2 more points and we'll go down But that's because I'm a City supporter ! I dont mind much either way to be honest, but on balance I think I'd prefer to stay up while the name change nonsense is sorted so it's easier for AA to sell the club ( even though I dont think he wants to )
Saints will be tough especially to score against but they're not firing on all cylinders anymore. I think it could be a game where Saints are complacent seeing us as easy targets.
I know we lost but we they were the champions with so much quality. Had it been anyone else I think we might have held on.
I've only got us drawing versus Burnley, therefore we beat them we stay up....Simple But we're Hull City when did we ever do simple?
We have a lot to do but we seem to have turned a bit of a corner. Cambiasso seems the have really inspired the team in recent weeks on and off the pitch. 5 of our 8 fixtures are at home with Chelsea the only game which you wouldnt give us much chance in. Our away games are at West Brom, Burnley and Sunderland and home games against Swansea, Chelsea, Southampton, Newcastle and QPR 4 wins gives us a chance and 5 will keep us up Im surprised you lot are all doom and gloom. Come Saturday if we beat West Brom all of sudden everyone will expect us to stay up. If we lose and results go against us we will be all but down
Don't worry mate, Allam has a masterplan If Hull City finish in the bottom 3, Allam will demand the FA keep Hull Tigers in the EPL because Hull City no longer exist. As crazy as that sounds, I would not put it past him.
Yep, I saw your fixtures. You've won 5 in 30 yet you hope to win half or more of your remaining games. It's logical to say you face a massive task, we all know however that football isnt logical.... And anyway if you do win 4 - say WBA, Burnley, Sunderland and DQPR - then that helps us anyway. As I said earlier, I think it'll be the lowest ever PL total needed to stay up this year. Interesting you mention West Brom, most have declared them safe but if you beat them then all of a sudden they might be right in it.
Lester's run in 11/04/2015 WBA a 18/04/2015 Swansea h 25/04/2015 Burnley a 29/04/2015 Chelsea h 02/05/2015 Newcastle h 09/05/2015 Southampton h 16/05/2015 Sunderland a 24/05/2015 QPR h 5 home games in 8 to play.... I reckon they beat barcodes (On the beach) and DQPR and pick up points in the rest, only losing to Chelsea. Long shot, but doable..
I still think its a massive task, before the weekend we need to win 5 from 9 its now 4 from 8. It gave us a platform to build on. We have been the nearly men all season and that has to change now. We need to get last seasons mentality back which is easier said then done but Chelsea is the only game which is against a side where no one will give us a chance but we have performed better against the top sides then the bottom sides. We have can probably afford to lose 2 games now but they can't be against Burnley or QPR
No, they'll still expect you to be relegated. You are too far behind and given your scenario of 5 wins, regardless of opposition that is a tall order. Especially as to date you've only managed about 5 wins in 30 odd games.
The remaining fixtures make a big difference. Leicester have some nice home games. We only have one game where you'd say we're favourites, but looking at similar games this season, we've not offered enough to win most of the time, I fear it'll be the same when we play Burnley.
