I predict I haven't a scooby where we will get our points from. All I know is the following is costing us: Sendings off Not playing for 90 minutes eradicate those two and we will be fine. Come on City!!!!!!
Great - as if we're not in enough trouble already, he's going to get us a points deduction for fielding an ineligible player. Still, he can always get around that by picking Elmo twice...
33/34 points i think to stay up. There's an awful lot of rubbish at the bottom, and some of the teams play each other in the run in.
That's sort of been my thoughts just of late who would we lose player wise, I think Chester will go, it's only a few weeks ago Swansea's captain was in the south wales echo saying what a brilliant player he was,so would not be surprised if he ended up at Swansea. Robertson will be gone imagine there's quite a few PL clubs keeping an eye on him. Diame, Ince, Davies(contract), we probably lose N'Doyle without a doubt would be snapped up a good player who took a punt in my opinion in coming to city to put himself in the PL shop window, I think we will struggle to hold on to him even if we stay up. Jelly will go without a doubt plenty of PL clubs will want him(mid-table downwards) Hernandez talk in the press that Newcastle and West Ham are interested(hope so) Elmo possibly, although his loyalty to SB might persuade him to stay. Hopefully this does not come to pass, we survive and become stronger.in Bruce we trust.
Jelavic is brilliant but too injured and too old to get a gig at any club other than whoever goes up this season. The papertalk re Hernandez I 100% believe is his agent saying "I'm an international footballer in a relegation scrap - get me out of here". I would be stunned if another PL club went for him. Chester and Robertson will be - I suspect - on relatively low wages so are ones we should keep if at all possible. I think you're over-egging N'Doye.
We have relegation clauses in every single contract. Wages aren't a worry if we go down I don't think.
Yeah me neither . I was pretty confident of getting something from the Swansea game when I went out to watch it on Saturday. So heaven knows
According to Bruce, he desperately hopes he'll be back before the end of the season, but Bruce's not so sure he will be.
I have no doubt if the situation gets really dire that he'll at least be tried. Jelavic seems the sort to soldier on through the pain and will be desperate to atone for that Leicester miss. I can't see him just meekly watching us go down when he knows how big a role he plays for us.
Villa v QPR tonight (brought forward from the FA Cup semi-final weekend) So we'll be drawn even closer to the bottom 3, even if we've played a game less then these 2 teams
Tough call this one - what do we want? Logic says a 0-0 draw so only 2 points is awarded but the heart says cut QPR adrift hoping Saturday was a fluke. Any kind of momentum for them away from home would be worrying.
As you say hard to call which result will favour us best. Villa might have their heads turned with the FA Cup on the horizon.
one positive note is if Liverpool get through to the F.A. semi- finals then the game at the k.c. on the 18th will have to be rearranged looking at the fixture list that means four off our last five games are at home, in our own hands so to speak.
Well it's in our own hands anyway. If we win all our remaining games then we'll stay up no matter what anybody else does.
