City fans being over confident about staying up is worring me. I don't understand the over confidence. Leicester will have a massive say in who stays up & goes down with their fixtures.
What about the wednesday after the cup semi final , hoping Liverpool would have played extra time and then a mammoth penalty shoot out .
Yeah we will only need 1 point if the teams below us still dont pick up points. In reality we need more that one point and we will get more than a point.
Being an optimist regarding every thing in life i think we will stay up ! However if we do go down im not really bothered. I will look foward to going back up as champions next season
We almost won at Man City . We have every chance of winning at Palace . Just hope we get a decent away following to get behind the team despite AA NOT going out his way to encourage a good turn out
We need a minimum of 6 points to start looking like we'll stay up - if we can't muster 6 points we'll go down, and with our sporadic performances this year, deservedly so. We've given away so many points at the end of games - they're all coming back to bite us on the arse now... And not to mention draws against teams playing awfully - if you include the Leicester and sunderland draws its well over 10 points thrown away - that's why we're in the absolute ****e right now!!!
Love to see that Ric but I can't. QPR have scored 7 goals in their last 2 games and appear to be 'coming good' at just the right time for them. There have, however, been some big upsets this season and we would need one of them plus a win against Burnley. All is not lost but that is the joy and despair of being a Hull City supporter.
Sometimes in this league a team scores loads of goals in 1-3 games and then they dry up again - this could be the same for QPR.
You are not wrong but QPR have scored more goals (38) than any other team in the bottom 8 - trouble is they have let in more goals (58) than any other team in the entire Premier league.
The thing is the rest of the bottom clubs have woken up to the battle where we seem to be in a malaise. QPR have just scored 7 goals in 2 away games, we might be lucky to score 7 in the remaining games. Our front 2s effort was piss poor on Saturday and this weeks is harder.
Southampton are struggling too. I'm not saying they're easy or that we'll win but they've pretty much been in free fall since the turn of the year and are struggling to land in their feet. It's a decent chance - I hope the players are up for it.
They've beaten Arsenal, Man United, Newcastle, QPR, Palace and Burnley and drawn against West Ham and Chelsea. They're obviously not doing as well as they were, as they've had five losses, but if that's free-fall, then I hope we start free-falling soon.
