Also has anyone considered Ashley might be about to sell to go all in North of the Border? Just a thought.

Or he might bring in McCoist?
Well looks like it is happening and I dread to think who we will get.
Pulis? Loves long ball football which everybody said they hated about Pardew, and wasn't good enough for Palace (while Pardew apparently is)
Laudrup? Has not had a single club where he has had a good second full season. Has a good first season and then the performances have dropped off and fans have got on his back calling for him to go. Sound familiar?
De Boer? McLaren They will be going nowhere.
Beardsley till the end of the season? Very possibly - at least we have a good track record when players we idolise become caretaker managers - oh wait........
Interesting from Mark Douglas in that more or less all of his appointments, anywhere, post-Shearer have been within his circle. Kinnear, Hughton, Charnley, Llambias (twice), Pardew.
Really, really smells like Beardsley's going to get the shot here.
If he goes, and I can't believe it, but it looks like he will, I wish him all the best. He's not a terrible manager, he's a bit of twat, and at times really unprofessional, but he's also relatable and he's done a pretty decent job given how hard it is to succeed under the circumstances Ashley dictates we put ourselves in.
Pros-
- He kept us in the league throughout his reign
- He liked it here
- He did have some cracking results
- He had our best season since 2002-3
- He worked under ridiculously difficult conditions, basically managed with both hands tied behind his back
- He did listen to fans. He did try and adapt and evolve the style of our play, and he has, with limited resources
- He knew the responsibility of managing this club
Cons-
- Unprofessional conduct
- derby record
- poor 2014 record
- some of his post-match interviews were a bit cringeworthy
- he may have got the job by stabbing Chris in the back, although he was a bum at the time and desperate
Overall, I think he'll go down along with Roeder. Didn't do much wrong, the supporters are glad and quick to forget them, but a decent solid job was done with what was to hand. Cheers Alan.
Not until you become a ModCan we add the fact that the football has generally been dire even in our good season!
Repetitive tactics that clearly do not work

I started this thread off, but I still can't believe it's happening.
An unsackable manager going from a secure job, where he's won good breathing space from angry fans, to a place with less income, status, and presently fighting to stay in this league.
And how long do their managers last there?
