I'm going to be watching from behind the sofa to see how this one turns out. Under less unpredictable ownership I would be more relaxed about the situation. Under Ashley lord knows what is going to happen. For Pardew I think it is a good move. He was never going to win over a large portion of the support. Personally I think he has done a fair job under very difficult circumstances. It's going to require someone with a big pair of knackers to take this job if he does go.

Will Beardsleys Rancid Sack do?

This :emoticon-0148-yes: Reflects my overall take and feelings about the situation.

(Apart from the bit about the knackers though ... although you're probably right :emoticon-0102-bigsm)

I don't blame Pardew for leaving to be honest. He must realise that he only has this season and possibly next season here at best as Ashley looks to be moving his interest to Rangers. The club clearly have zero ambition beyond mid table mediocrity and it seems pretty clear that 'cup runs' are not encouraged. Sissoko and possibly more will be sold, if not in January then certainly in the summer so he cant 'build' anything because Ashley keeps taking the foundations away. The fans are never going to love him, regardless of what he achieves, and given what a vain bastard he is that will rankle him. He is paid a relative pittance, in PL manager salary terms, by all accounts........... and presumably he has paid off his casino debts now too!!

Personally I wont miss the guy, but I do wish him well.

Onwards and, hopefully.............. upwards.

Trying smack this week ya ****ing helmet

Gave my honest opinion, we had a your top 5 premiership managers debate recently, i put pardew in
Ok- Merry Christmas.
A quick and honest question. Why is Beel a word which is to the likes of Bri.. What the word Macbeth is to the likes of a Shakespearian Thespian?
He seems to give a bad account of you SAFC lads. You lot are a good bunch but one or two cry a little bit too much.

Eight pages of intellectual insight on Sir Alan.
Fredor has even got out of his pit early on to offer his perceptive thoughts.

Then someone has to spoil it all and give us a picture of a Blobfish, admittedly there is likeness to Steve Bruce, but why??

No. We scraped wins left right and centre. Spectactular goals, Cisse and Ba and a makeshift defence sparing him!

Only in about 10 games in the last 4 years have we played good football!

As for Bobby, yes he was direct but he also played decent football the majority of the time and directness was just one of the tactics.

<laugh>

This thread sums up a section of our support. The very same folk who held up us never coming back from a losing position are now using it as a stick to hit him with. Classic fickleness.
