It’s definitely a meh

But…

  • his style of play isn’t that bad. He’s much more progressive than his personality suggests
  • He’s great with youngsters
  • He’s experienced and will help us solidify at this level
  • There’s a reason Alex Neil had to drop to League One to find employment but Tony Mowbray didnt
F*** Alex Nobhead

it's 100% done was done saturday but club tried to hide it with neil not being announced was at the academy saturday morning
Well we get behind him and give him and the team our full backing. Whether he is the right person for the job we shall see in the future but for now he's the manager and we get behind him . Keep the faith lads and lasses. It's the Sunderland way.

100% everyone has the own opinion
if he's the right man or not ,

but anyone who says the will never back him can all jog on as far away as possible from our football club

ffs lads, no one wanted parky, no one wanted ross, no one wanted neil...i could go on but what the hell is the point, some have already made their minds up mainly down to a couple of throw away comments from years ago and the fact that mowbray does not run around grinning like the cheshire cat while doing cartwheels down the touchline.

the man knows the league (how many times was that banded about when we were looking for managers in league one..'has to know the league like') has done well with a very limited budget on more than one occasion, apparently likes to bring the youth on and prefers an attack minded style of play, has contacts going back many years, exactly what we need right now to establish ourselves in this league..it is not as if we were haring towards promotion despite our decent start.

The one thing about Mowbray, amongst others is that he won't be phased by the size of SAFC.

The others that have been mentioned haven't managed a club anywhere near the size of us. That is important when appointing coaches and when signing players. They need to be mentally strong.

very good point actually...might edit it into my post and claim it ;)

Some ridiculous reactions from our fan base
tbh. Give the ****er a chance.

We've got a good team and we've made a decent start, no need for all the well over the top negativity at this stage. They're young lads and it could turn quickly if confidence saps away.

Put the silliness to one side and get the **** behind the new manager and the team.

Our fan base is 50,000 to be fair ...

...a handful of the Twitterati might make lots of noise on the internet but not at the matches.

Very good point this. It’s rare we have a manager where we aren’t the biggest club they’ve managed

Not sure why people have convinced themselves this is a good thing.

it wont be
Yet you are allowed to be convinced it won’t be. Is that the way it works?Perhaps people are just willing to support him because that’s what we as fans do. Have a moan about his appointment by all means, but just because you are convinced he will be ****, doesn’t mean to say he will be.
