Not sure if anyone is interested in this.

I was talking to a friend at the match on Wednesday, who goes with an ex player, At the match they were talking to an employee, who is another ex player, (I know another ex player haha)

They were talking about Snake Neil, it was said. Neil was on 7 grand a week when we were in league 1, then 20 grand a week when he signed the new contract.
Stoke came in and offered him him 40 grand a week.
So then Sunderland went in with 30 grand to try and keep him here. As we know, he turned it down.
Anyway thought I would pass on what I heard.
That last bit is way off.
He was on 7k p week, it went up to 12k p week he wanted 20k they offered 15k, Stoke are paying him 24k p week that's true

Do you have an Excel spreadsheet to track these posts so you can strike months later? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

You'd think so but no, it's just that certain things stick in yer mind.

I posted a while back about JDT and how people were automatically assuming someone young, foreign and wholesome would have radial new ideas about football. That can happen but this dinosaur/visionary thing is a bit daft imo. Whenever someone's in the shyte they turn to dinosaurs like Warnock, Allardyce, Dyche, etc because they know football, outside the top six, is generally a simple game played simply by simple players.

This thread is hilarious, looking back, I dread to think what bollocks I came out with <doh>
