Not everyone does well with Barce, Frank Rijkaard struggled with the same team that won the CL in 2006. Pep was starting to battle before he eventually left the club. Tito Vilanova (RIP) was horrible in charge of Barca. Only Enrique brought in Suarez and got them back to winning ways again.

my point exactly .. Frank Rijkaard is available .. 2 Liga and one CL .. but no one wanted him and was sacked by KSA national team in 2013 and retired 3 years later as no one wanted him..
Enrique had possibly 3 of best strikers in world leading his attacking power , he is not even comparable to Pep, bcz Pep made a great Barca side, the way that team played was amazing , the best I seen in 35 years .
imo Arsenal don't have time to experiment, you need organisation, and I think Conte and Simone are your best options, at least you can be sure to have a solid side you can build up on for the future.
look to us, from Moyes, to LVG..now we are happy with JM, despite his style bcz simply we exterminated alot and we are tired of that...

look to Enrique CV, average at Roma, finished mid table and average at Celta .. that should give you a big alert sign .. I really hope Chelsea will go for him.. am surprised you guys rate him like he is the Messiah

Who do you want to see as next Arsenal manager ? You've probably been Wenger's biggest critic on here, so I'm interested to see who you think should take over and what you hope to see them do differently.

Brendan did his chances of succeeding Wenger no harm yesterday with another title win, he'd be a massive success at Arsenal no doubt.
The rest of the Prem clubs are trembling at the thought.<whistle>

I bet if you were able to see the vote break down on the poll, all 7 people who voted for Rodgers would be non Arsenal fans <laugh>

Couple of names thrown into the mix today from Guillam Balague.

    Paulo Fonseca
    Marcelo Bielsa

Can't say I know much about either of them, other than Bielsa had a ****ing mare at Lille and he's not much younger than Wenger anyway, so can't really see that one happening.

Jardim, Ancelotti, Nagelsmann, Fonseca, Allegri. I think the Enrique link is dead. Might be Allegri.

Accoring to Balague, Enrique is talking to Arsenal and Chelsea. Apparently the Arsenal board aren't in agreement on Enrique though....

Actually think Enrique would be a great fit at Arsenal. He plays attacking football and he's a task master too. I think he'd get the best out of players like Xhaka, Mustafi, Bellerin and Ozil

Everything I have read seems to indicate the board aren't willing to pay out the money required. And someone just posted now that it was confirmed on SSN that he won't be coming. But we'll see.

Mourinho is anything but safe. He's a short term spendaholic with a track record of alienating players and staff and losing the dressing room. His brand of football hasn't worked properly for years now. He's the new Wenger. Knock yourselves out.

Seriously though mate. What do you want to see the new man doing to change our fortunes for the better ?

Personally I want to see a much more disciplined and organised defence, with defenders who lead from the back and organise the players around them, telling them when to push forward and when to defend as a team. I want to see a front 3 who press the opposition and hurry them into getting the ball out, not letting teams play the ball unchallenged all the way into our half before somebody thinks about pressing or making a tackle.

I want to see a manager who is tactically astute and makes changes to change the game when it's not working for us. I also want to see him take into account the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition and set us up to exploit that, rather than simply sticking to one philosophy. And I also want to see a manager who makes the players work harder in training, both on fitness and mental commitment. Instilling a do or die attitude for 90 mins in each game.
