I want Klopp. It's time for him to take a step up in management anyway. He's tested the water at a mid-table team and got them punching above their weight. Now he should come to one of the big boys.

<laugh>

Arsenal are a mid-table Thursday Night Cup team these days.<whistle>

Hassenhuttl is similar to Klopp...

NOT BAD. BUT WHAT IS HIS PHILOSOPHY?

Think Klopp’s Dortmund. But with younger players. Or Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs.

Leipzig play an aggressive style, pressing high up the pitch, with up to six players forcing the opposition to play quickly.

When in possession the holding midfielders drop to allow the full-backs forward.

And they are not scared to play with two physically-imposing strikers.

What style of play does Hassenhuttl deploy?

Intense. There are easy comparisons with Borussia Dortmund and Jurgen Klopp's Gegenpress, but Hasenhuttl's side have more versatility.

Bookies have slashed the odds of Buvac becoming the next Arsenal manager.

He's now the favourite ahead of Allegri.

Would certainly be a risk but would also be typical Arsenal.

Had more to do with the Chelsea side, that title win. In the two years he has been at United, you guys haven't really come close to winning the title. He's definitely not the manager he was.
he added key players to that Chelsea side . Matic, Costa, Willian and Cesc .. look at Chelsea now without Costa and Matic even after reinforcement.
first year was a build up year, 2nd year, our points should be enough to win many titles in past seasons if it wasn't for City record breaking performance. we could had gathered even more points if our players didn't felt is far from reach by December
City outspend us despite having a better side already than us, so is natural a gap still exist and we need more reinforcement

Cool story. Convince yourself as much as you want, you're not convincing me or indeed many other rival fans. As I said....when rival fans start wanting your manager to stay put you know you've got a dud. Been there, done that with Wenger. Long may Jose stay where he is.
Ameen to that .. <ok>
No one is trying to convince you here .
anyway you will get it when you will try other managers and fail miserably then me and you will have a discussion
good luck anyway .. hope your board make the right choice and listen to their fans once

Ameen to that .. <ok>

Not Amen - Mourinho out!

Anyway, the development on Buvac is interesting. He's been with Klopp since 2001. I commend Arsenal if they really are thinking outside the box for a manager to fit the club rather than going the no brain CV method. Just hope he won't be another Villas-Boas.

hhhhh I hate Jose at times , but I rather have him over Moyes or LVG .. or even Buvac .. am tired of taking risks and playing out of top 4

indeed Arsenal should be applauded for thinking outside the box, but it is a risk ,
yeahh Spurs had some bad spells Villas-Boas and Ramos too .. but I admire Pochettino alot, tbh am ready to replace Jose with Pochettino any time any day..

Allegri saying that unless Juve sack him, he’ll still be there next season.

Looks less likely that he’s going to come to Arsenal now.

It is looking like it will be Arteta.

Really don’t understand the decision if I’m being honest. We’re a project at this point, it will take 3 or 4 years for us to be challenging for the title, so getting someone like arteta in is very strange and a massive gamble. It could potentially go belly up very quick for him.

Cannot comment enough on his coaching style as none of us know his coaching style. But if he’s anything like his playing days, our defense might get ignored again...sigh...not very happy about his appointment...

The only people that are happy about it are opposition fans because they think he will be terrible. We'll see.

It's worth noting Arsenal are adopting a European style coaching structure where the coach overseas everything that happens on the field but is not responsible for what happens off it. Might be worth a punt if that were the case.

Thought that was their plan???

Prob why big names are turning arsenal down, so the papers sat.

Arteta and Nagelsmann are the most likely candidates and it may be a smarter move than many Arsenal fans currently realise.

When we appointed Raul Sahlelli as Director of Football it was clear that Arsenal were looking to..

1. Continue the 'footballing culture' at the Club.
2. Guide whoever took over from Arsene.

On top of that we hired Minislat as 'head of recruitment'. He's not mearly a scout. The guy is in charge of who we sign at the Club. A job that previously belonged to the manager.

Soo essentially we are looking for a coach. The managers position at Arsenal has been shrunk down. No longer is he in charge of any financial matters and will have a limited influence when it comes to signings. Do you think Simeone or Allegri would want a position like this with soo little control?

It seems to me Arsenal have set themselves up to mould a young manager. It's an unorthodox approach but it could well be a very smart one.

Why would we recruit Arteta who has never managed a club before? Being an assistant for a few years now qualifies him to manage one of the biggest clubs in Europe? It would be insane if it happened. Throw in Arteta against 5 of the best managers in world football as well?

How about he manages a club for a few years so we can assess how good he is? He must be sh1t hot if they want to give him the job, he better be bloody David Copperfield.

Nagelsmann i can understand but Arteta has not managed a club proper before. We don't know how good he is and being assistant to one of the best manager and team in the world for a few years isn't evidence enough. Now Nagelsmann has shown his quality in the German league with some very impressive performances, i wouldn't mind him managing us at all. Arteta is a HUGE risk, he needs time to manage a decent club and learn the trade.

Problem with Arteta is I don't want to see him be **** and get sacked after 6 months, I like the guy
