Just putting this out there, as with Sheff Wed with Rohl, maybe Poyet could be the link with the club and be the main assistant with Maric if he's the new coach

So whenever someone is linked I know nowt or close to nowt about them. I remember thinking when it was Beale being linked and even when he joined "alright he puts on a class training session but what be like tactically?".
Now with this new link it look like he is highly regarded tactically and I'd much prefer that over how good his coaching sessions are.

The only issue with this, is that if Maric gets off to a bad start we will have a vocal minority demanding that poyet get put in charge

don't think you're wrong mate. I'm sure he said he said he wasn't here for a few days a week leaving it open to interpretation to just how often he was here. Short was definitely pissed off with him but his methods were working
Whoever we appoint we need to bring a few of his players in imho. Smooths over any potential for friction during the transition if you've got players who can say 'this bloke's all right' to those already here.

so looks like that coach was rene maric then think if prefer still , but if it is him it's a risk i'm happy we are taking

They’d have been in relegation bother if it wasn’t for their decent start to the season. Very similar to us.
can you honestley say this season we have moved forward, with 1. our style of play , 2, our attitude in games, 3 our mix of players, and worst of all, we play players who should only be picked on merit.
We are miles off where we should be, the coaching and tactics are diabolical.
