I’m all for Maric myself and is the same age etc as Will Still, had been a coach wether assistant or lower age at some massive clubs and if he is the one be 100% behind him and will give him time.

On the DOF front if we are looking to a new one if he hasn’t already asked for a certain one to come in or work with out one, I liked the looks and way Les Ferdinand spoke on the overlap with Keane and Neville about his role being one.

Gives a bit insight into roles and his vision, not saying go for him but he spoke really well, I personally think if true will be a poyet and or Gerhard Struber etc, we are in for a interesting summer and the biggest of the ownership so far

I believe Speakman is off in the summer, so KLD will be appointing his replacement.

Not quite sure what you mean by going past him?
Speakman leaving, is this of his own accord or being pushed. If so has the BCB fiasco anything to do with it.

can you honestley say this season we have moved forward, with 1. our style of play , 2, our attitude in games, 3 our mix of players, and worst of all, we play players who should only be picked on merit.
We are miles off where we should be, the coaching and tactics are diabolical.
No we have not moved forward with the first team but as a club on the whole their have been improvements. I guess it depends on perspective and on a longer term vision, I still think our future looks better now than it has for years.

Whoever we appoint we need to bring a few of his players in imho. Smooths over any potential for friction during the transition if you've got players who can say 'this bloke's all right' to those already here.

We also need him in by the end of May. No excuses.
Not so sure about that. Players will make their minds up based on his training sessions.

And dont forget, the older Bellingham will be able to tell Jude all he needs to know. It wouldnt surprise me at all if Jude hasnt spoken to Maric already about Sunderland and Dodds etc. Football is a small world.

Sunderland changed, virtually overnight, when Keane arrived ...

... all it took was a change of attitude/coaching and a few signings.

We won the league ffs.

People claiming we've been left behind, need massive changes, etc, are talking shyte.

Ferdinand spoke brilliantly on the overlap and will do a good job somewhere. Unfortunately, I'm always against anyone with links to them being appointed here because I think the fan base don't give them as much patience as someone without that link will get. The first bad signing we make, it'll be used as an insult to beat him with by some.

The Poyet and Struber links could have some merit. Neither of them have done that role before though. I'm not against it, maybe an experienced manager in that role is exactly the kind of support a young coach like Maric needs, but it's a transition for them and we can't have them overstepping their boundaries.
