Aye I'll never be able to look at a portion of our fanbase the same way after the ridiculous way they reacted to it. Sad indeed.

Not justified, I agree - but what did they really expect. I remember seeing Beale linked and thought it was ridiculous as they wouldn’t be so stupid, but they were. Speakman said on record they wouldn’t be complacent, and that appointment was exactly that.

Rosenoir seemed like an exciting and talented coach a year or two back but I’ve shallowly gone off him due to the views of his teams being boring.

Do you knowledgable people know what his coaching style in training is supposed to be like and how he’s viewed inside the game by other coaches?

I like Rosenior myself. I think there is a really negative story being spun about him post Hull, where overall he did an excellent job.

When he landed at Hull they were just outside the bottom 3. Made them safe then this season got them 7th. At the start of the season the owner wanted top 10. I am told he and Rosenior fell out over the bringing in of players. I worked in Hull for a while and everyone I have spoken to say it is a terrible decision. Hull havent been in the top half in 8 years and he was nominated fot mgr of the year. He was a major success.

His coaching style is player focussed. Really works hard to make individuals better and more aware of team responsibilities. He is a really smart thinker about the game, focuses a lot on opposition and tactical setup for opposition. When he was at Derby it was Cocu who first raised his profile I think. He was certainly a massive part of their good attempt after points deduction. Everyone wanted him perm after his caretaker stint but they went for Warne, a more experienced promotion expert in league 1. He went to Hull.

His style of play isnt really set in stone. He seems to adapt to players and situations in my opinion. I say him play 4141 and 4231 at Derby, both effectively. He does focus on possession, a bit like Russell Martin. I doubt very much though he would want to be a coach regarded as wedded to one style, he is smarter than that.

Last word from a Hull mate. He was porgressing the club better than anyone has in a decade. Lets see who next I suppose for them, but Rosenior wont be short of offers at this level. His stock is high.

Isn't the sign of a good coach is that they adapt their style of play to suit the players available to them?

I'm hoping whoever is appointed is smart enough to adapt

Derby to Hull is 90 mins tops. Early doors you can do it in 75.

No mate, 2.5 hours with a heavy foot, more like 2hrs 50. Too much. Of course he could stay during the week. But I think we would want someone in the region personally.

Couldn't agree more mate, I love the east coast of Fife and everywhere on route to the SOL.

The problem is that we're not the 25yo girlfriend of a highly paid player or manager ...

... they're just not interested in wide open spaces and sparsely occupied beaches.

My sister met an old lady from Stevenage whilst on holiday and invited her to stay for a week. The residents of her retirement home couldn’t understand why she would want to go to a land of slag-heaps and poverty. She came and was - genuinely- amazed at the coast-line, countryside and children wearing shoes! The only experience of the north-east by herself and friends was Catherine Cookson! They all all believed that the every corner was overcast by gloomy slag-heaps and emaciated children with their arses hanging out and shoeless.
