Do you honestly see them just going? Don't you think City will be sold in order that Allam gets his money back? Any investment/loan leading to higer PL position makes us a more attractive purchase, surely?
I would imagine that the interest on the loans is being charged as an expense in the City accounts but not actually being paid - it's just an accrual. It will be part of the £80m owed to Allamhouse or whatever the latest figure is.
It is a minority of the potential premier league crowd that doesn't give a fig about what we are called. It's the majority of the real fans who are against it. I d say there's a hard core 5000 who are against it out of say 35000. The rest just want to see Stevie G and his like every week, watch MoTD every week and Come Dancing after they ve read the Daily Mail on a Saturday tea time
Back on the ballot thing eh? Seriously, keep focusing on that. Your view matters. Honest. The FA care about it, and so does Dr Allam. Just a suggestion but coming up with a credible business plan to generate a lot of money, with proper genuine backers etc would be a better focus for you than the knicker wetting over a poll that won't influence a single thing and is irrelevant anyhow. It's a distraction. Please note, a credible business plan based on facts and reality, not suppositions and ideas jotted down on a post-it in a pub.
basically the allams can do whatever change name, colour stadium i dont give a **** because i will wear my shirt with the tigers badge on my chest with pride for ever plus buried with it...game over!
Move the stadium to Melton, remove the tiger from the badge, change the kit to pink, **** it, let them do what they want...
I mainly want a ballot to prove that the majority are against any change, just to shut you the **** up.
Don't go off on a tangent. You're suggesting Allam is right to say that only a minority oppose the name change, that's being questioned by pointing out he could have the ballot proving it either way, at no cost to him or the club, yet he's refusing it. Why is that? It's not because he doesn't care, since his future at the club, in his words, depends on whether the fans back him or not. Since he's so adamant he needs to go if people don't support him, surely he should want to find out? Yet he won't allow the poll and he won't even allow external organisations to conduct their own research where has has any control over them. Why do you think that is?
If he really chucks his teddy out the pram he could asset strip the first team squad to recoup a large chunk of his cash come the seasons end & then repay a large chunk of the outstanding debt with the summers TV revenue, leaving the Ltd company up **** creek & bound for administration. See Gaydamak for details.....
No surprise there, he wants a job at the club. He isn't going to be against it if he wants a job here.
At the end of the day you can argue between yourselves over the rights & wrongs of this issue until you're blue in the face, it will alter nothing. The facts here are really quite simple. Allam came up with the name change idea, decided it was a stroke of genius destined to rake in the cash in the Far East & then set about making it happen.....without factoring in that the fanbase might not share his 'vision'. Once the fanbase gave their feedback, he dug a trench, as he's seemingly not a man who relishes having his decision making challenged. The supporters groups dug their trenches & there's been some mortars launched from both sides, with no prospect of a compromise being both possible or acceptable to both parties. Now Allam has played his trump card & is trying to brow beat the FA (& by default the fans groups) to allow him his way, or he'll take his bat & ball home. Having followed this debate from the off, this was something that was the doomsday scenario to those who were reluctantly prepared to accept the name change, it's now a real possibility. Given that the man in question appears highly likely to carry out his threat, as he doesn't appear to be a man who goes back on his word. Surely this now leaves you as fans - collectively - with a simple choice to make.....i.e. Do you want Allam to remain & you reluctantly accept the name change, or do you wave him goodbye, remain as City & face whatever the future holds???
Received my ballot paper from the OSC this morning .Will be interesting to see what stance they take if the result is against the name change (which I hope it will be).My gut feeling is they will somehow manage to fudge the issue, I can't see them not toeing the Allam party line.
