It used to look like he'd glued the ball to his feet for about 15 feet as he gracefully shuffled along on those little legs of his. Then he'd trip over the ball or struggle to manage a four yard pass. Frustrating ****er.
Then he'd trip over the ball or struggle to manage a four yard pass. Frustrating f**er. He wasn't as bad as that mate. He was one of our best players in recent years. Steeeeeeeeeeeeed
I suppose if you get a player like that with the end product then clubs like us wouldn't don't have them very long before they step up.
Yeah, I think Vergini needs developed as a CB, but that's the plan. Roberge, fair play he's came from nowhere and is back in the mix, but a quick, athletic lad like Micah would be ideal for us.
I maintain a gifted player but, for some reason, he was an entertaining luxury for us who had little effect on the outcome of our games. A player who's feet the ball sticks to like Steeds but with final product... Messi.
It shows how far we've come since then, I remember being amazed that we'd actually managed to sign Steed Malbranque, but now he'd be a squad rotation player at best.
I remember seeing Richards in a schoolboy international when he was a full back, would be an outstanding signing for either position as he could mix and match with Vergini and JOS finished at this season end, the defensive future is well covered.
Was an absolute lover of Richards ability years ago but have to be honest i haven't seen anything from him for years. I'd love him to sign based on what raw talent i saw years ago i would sign him but it would be a gamble on what he is like now.
Skybet Micah Richards to sign for before 2nd September 2014 Everton 5/2 Sunderland 7/2 Liverpool 11/2 Arsenal 12/1 Manchester Utd 12/1 Newcastle 12/1 Tottenham 14/1 Q.P.R. 16/1 West Brom 16/1 West Ham 16/1 Leicester 22/1 Swansea 22/1 Aston Villa 28/1 Crystal Palace 28/1 Norwich 33/1
The bookies always chuck daft outsider bets in. 3 legged horse, 20 year old dog, mags to get to a cup final, that kind of thing. Some mug will bet on them.
Are Citeh selling us all these players (like Johnson, Pantillimon, Rodwell and now maybe Richards) to give themselves a better chance of winning against us for a change. Selling us their second 11 should give them a better chance of increasing their usual 1 point off us per season.
