John Slasor ‏@johnslasor 8m If personal terms are right it looks like Micah Richards will be a #safc player before Friday with season-long loan with view of permanent Same tweeter that broke rodwell before the press
Only got one year left on his contract. Get him on loan and he will be elsewhere next year, wherever the highest bidder is. Much like Ince this year. That would be a monumental cock up to save £4-5m
It would be so much easier if we had an american style draft event thingy. And having a definitive list of players up for sale.
Couldn't agree more mate. Flop, still get £3million back, success, worth at least double maybe 3 times what we pay in a year. If we can do this, lets ****ing do it, no pissing about and sitting next summer bemoaning losing our best CB.
He can still turn us down next summer when it comes to negotiating a contract. A view to a permanent is just an agreement between buyer and seller.
I back Ellis all the way when other have called him cheap but if we were to sign the lad on loan, after baulking at that sort of fee, and then miss out on him I'd suggest he needs his head checking and that he's in the wrong industry.
http://m.sunderlandecho.com/sport/s...th-manchester-city-s-micah-richards-1-6780761 SUNDERLAND have been linked with a second raid on Manchester City, with defender Micah Richards reportedly on the Black Cats’ radar. Richards, who is in the final year of his contract at the Etihad, has been told he can leave the Premier League champions after making just 10 first team appearances last season. Sunderland are one of a host of clubs who have been credited with an interest in £5million-rated Richards, with Newcastle United also offered the services of the 26-year-old. The Black Cats are on the look-out for further defensive reinforcements, despite the capture of Argentine international Santiago Vergini last week. And Sunderland have already been successful in taking one player from City this summer after signing England international Jack Rodwell in a £10m deal. But Richards would need to take a big pay cut on his estimated £70,000 wages if he was to move to the Stadium of Light.
I'm one of the lads what call Short cheap & if this is true about the loan then what a mug he is. Richards will do well here then **** off to a bigger team. pointless ****ing loan.
