Holla from Athens, Panathinaikos ultra here. The guy is very talented, fast enough, skillful, he lacks finishings but he can outplay any left back in his day. He has to find a certain degree of stability in his play, he is out of the game for the past 4 months after a hernia problem and that's the main worry you should have. Also i dont know if he can adopt easily to the PDC working environment, although the common medittarenean background is a plus. His style reminds me of Oxlade-Chamberlain (i repeat his style and i am not actually implying that he is at that level). For us if it happens it's going to be good business, sadly we 're experiencing huge financial problems and practically we are off-loading all the cream of the crops.

CHARIS Mavrias is on his way to Wearside, as Sunderland look to finalise a move for the Greek winger.

Sunderland saw a £2.5million switch for Panathinaikos wideman Mavrias fall through last month, before they failed with a subsequent season-long loan offer last week.

But the Black Cats have resurrected their original £2.5m deal for Mavrias and he is due to arrive in the North East today to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.

The 19-year-old Grek international will become Sunderland’s 11th signing of the summer.

Sad the see the state in Greece, AEK Athens gone, Panathinaikos having to sell, a great shame. I have been to an Athens derby and it was incredible, you guys are ****ing crazy!
 
thxn a lot. Indeed i live in Athens, i know everything about your Football League, i am a huge admirer of PDC from his Swindon days as a manager, and i hope that the little guy will give his best 4 u.

Yeah have to say I agree - But it's in a lot of places this morning (which is the main reason I'm bumping this thread) from the times to the Newcastle Chronicle! Hopefully it will happen.

I think it'll be good having him and Karlsson pushing our 2 first choice wingers if it happens

It's a bit late for him to hit the ground running pre season old article but still interesting
