For a while now, people have often said that we're reluctant to shoot and that's a big part of our problem. I think sometimes that maybe is the case; certainly Philogene seems to go through spells of scoring through instinctive finishing and then spells where he keeps overthinking, running out of room and getting nowhere.
But a lot of the time I think it's the opposite. We get into a decent position and someone makes a stupid decision to shoot when it clearly isn't on. Zaroury had one yesterday which was utterly brainless, in the first half when he'd just won it in a good position and it was a 2 v 2, the ball was bouncing and he just swung at it when it was only ever going to go miles over, and so it proved. We quite often have games where we have loads of shots but barely any on target. I think sometimes we get desperate because we're creating so little and it means that what we do create gets wasted.
That was ridiculous, Philogene was as good as through on goal in the box. He’d got goal side of the defender and just needed the ball rolling in front of him yet Zaroury went Hail Mary from about 30 yards on the half volley whilst under pressure.
