I saw that Andrey Santos ships off with Brazil in Jan/Feb which would see him miss 10 games or so. Would be a big chunk missed for whoever takes him on.

This Twine thing is really weird. Why he's the number one target for criticism lately is a mystery to me.

This is the transfer thread and considering his loan so far has been fairly underwhelming, I think a debate about whether he's worth £2.5m for a permanent deal is a perfectly reasonable discussion.

He’s not been mentioned for a while, but we should look at Hannibal Mejbri for that tenacity in midfield. He’s featured in just 5 games and is out of contract in the summer.

Wires are crossed because I responded to someone else and you replied to me seemingly disagreeing with me with a point adjacent to the one I was making.

My point was in the case of players like KLP who didn't do much out on loan and developed well in our system how can the poster I was responding to claim that's an issue with our player development.
In truth id forgotten that KLP has spent any time away...

I wouldn't be disappointed to see Twine go back to Burnley if we can pick up a more experienced replacement on a free, our next Koren.

We do already have Tufan and Traore for that position but of course we will lose the latter to Afcon. Although, I would argue that Slater could do a decent job there if needed. He’s definitely much better in an attacking midfield role.

Given the current state of the squad, we shouldn't be letting anyone leave without a new incoming replacement.

Add Traore's been a bit of a dud, hasn't he. Injured for the majority of his first season with us and struggled with any form since - I don't think it's helped that he rarely plays in his preferred position...

Dunno. It's a message board. And it's the transfer window. You posted a hypothetical question, I thought I'd posit an equally hypothetical one.

Just putting it out there, frankly.

But I doubt you'd answer what you'd do. Because you can't. None of us can.

Far from trying to have a dig.

Guess who started a reply earlier with the following statement “No I just thought this was adiscussion board where people post thoughts and other people respond to them.”

Why bother with this clown?

Asking someone why they have to frame everything as a challenge/disagreement is very different from saying people have a right to respond to a question in the first place.

People complain when they wake up to a day's worth of Orange going back and forth with people because every time he responds to a post it has to be a disagreement even when he's trying to make the same point (see above RE loans v Academy development), it just fills so many pages needlessly.

I just think there are other positions Left back for example where we are in greater need of additional numbers or even actual wingers, where Twine has played mostly for us.

I've skim read this incorrectly. He'll be with Brazil until mid Feb and then be available for 14 games. Will miss some in between depending on when he joins a club.

I'm surprised to see us linked then, would have thought the main appeal is getting someone in to step in for Seri/Morton.

Slater at LB isn't good enough for you?
