With a Derby 10 days away, NO Right-Minded Toon Fan would want, hope or whatever that Sunderland win and get through to the final tonight.

Knock the confidence to f*** is what I say, along with that of their fans.
Having them turn up at SJP full of confidence, knowing that they are in a final with place to grab in the team can give players that extra boost.
I don't subscribe to this crap about, being in a final will take players mind off the league, if anything it could be the making of them.
Keep them down - its what's best for us.

Come on Man U (that's almost as bad).

It's because we are well developed confident individuals who can be magnanimous to the perpetual failures down the road. They are small and bitter, we a keen appreciation of their own inferiority. No, they wouldn't want us to win but we should not seek to stoop to their level.

As long as you could accept their unbelievable level of gloating, fair play to you. I certainly don't fall into that category.
 
Obviously the odds are against us winning to night (although without Rooney and RvP and us nothing to lose?) then of course if we did get to Wembley, in a cup final, we would have to face Man City currently scoring lots of goals for fun and an awesome squad (although we are their bogey team and have beaten them at least once for the past few seasons).

I accept that cup form has nothing to do with league form or derbies mind and my god do we not need points to escape relegation. May I ask what is best practice to be sunning yourself on a beach or playing in cup comps before a derby?

Moyes must really fear Sunderland, he tried to get Mata in for the game.

If we get through tonight (decent chance) and beat Citeh in the final (chances not so hot) we may well be taking the piss for some time.
