You can challenge what you like sir you don't even know me to challenge it. As for you stating that you spend more time around Hull FC fans than I do, how do you know that we have never met? to my knowledge.

Just the beginning of you being wrong, again.

So City are always successful against 'inferior opposition'? So having been established for over 100yrs, the Hull City AFC we both support should have been constantly successful? If you believe that then you are as deluded as you believe others are.

You can only find fault with this post if you are looking for an argument. But that wouldn't be you would it! <whistle>

    Bear this in mind.

    Note that as well

Not strictly true (as usual), this comparison is yours

Now you are getting close to your lack of understanding of your own pettiness.

Now, the crux of it: an exception could be a massive (comparatively (as Airlie very fairly stated) or it could be the pits, let's say 500 - we are discussing the Marquee end of that which must, by definition be rather grand (by comparison).

We'll get back to your list, the top of your head and piffle.

Read your own contradictions and nonsense, it's in abundance.

Did Airlie do that? Really??? Or was it you who turned it to your usual cynical, pseudo intellectual rubbish.

Talking to yourself is your best bet, seriously it is, for you. <laugh>

It's sad to say that they made a lot more noise than we'll probably hear at any city game this coming season.

My post was specific to one poster and of course you do not have to say well done. I understand the intense rivalry between the football and rugby league fraternities in Hull as my husband's family has schisms on this issue going back over 100 years.

His grandfather, a passionate football fan, was so incenced over his belief that the 2 Hull rugby clubs had for many years thwarted Hull City's attempts to enter the football league that he banned his 3 sons from attending RL matches and even talking about rugby in his house. Later when he found out that my husband's father had been to a Hull RL derby match he didn't speak to him for many years and later still when my husband met his grandfather he was asked not to mention RL.

Today my husband loves Hull City and follows Hull FC. His sister's reaction on finding out about her grandfather's treatment of her dad was to declare that she would never ever go to see Hull City and would instead support Hull FC, which she has done for the past 60 years. Just to add a little spice to this mix I decided to become a Hull KR fan when I first visited Hull in the late 70's.(mother-in-law's team) My cousin did play RL for Barrow back in the 50's.

What a shame you didn't edit some more. In all those words, you could have ended up with some that were accurate. As it was, it looked like part of the experiment to see if monkeys could write Shakespeare. <laugh>

Move on. You're becoming obsessed. <ok>

Laptop packed in, but seeing as most of the words are the ****e you wrote, accuracy won't feature highly. Why is it that when someone takes you to task they are obsessed or have issues, but you can write whatever drivel you fancy? More and more folk are seeing your style for what it is. That will do, you get boring after a while.

I caught a few mins of Sportstalk last night and some Eff Cee fans called in to ask what City are playing at keeping kick off time clashing with the Egg Chasing final? They claimed the ground would be half full cos evertyone would either be at the game or watching on telly. Yeah, that happened last time there was a clash didnt it...

Seriously, what world do they live in? It is this attitude that annoys people more than most other things. It's the rugby town idea again without a single shred of evidence to back it up.

Erm, apart from the spelling errors, such as Marquee, the gist of my opinion's accurate,it's your responses that miss the mark, but I doubt I'll convince you and I'm not remotely interested in trying to.

Move on, your dull obsession seems to be sending quite a few people to sleep as it's seriously, seriously boring. <ok>

So only empty words even weasel words. You certainly have not distinguished yourself on this topic in my opinion. But of course on here only your opinion is correct so we will leave it there. Feel free to correct any spelling errors.

Erm, I don't tend to correct spelling errors etc, and there's nothing empty about what I put. I can elaborate on my opinion, but you've made it clear in other posts that you're going to disagree no matter what I put, so it just gets dull for everyone else, but as you asked...

I've not said only my opinion's correct, that seems to be more the domain of those disagreeing with me. I've simply tried to explain my position and as yet, nothing anyone has put has changed my opinion.

The excitement for the FC fans is that they didn't expect to beat Warrington as Warrington are the better team and, unlike the FA cup, upsets are rare in rl, with lower league teams, never mind amateurs vedry, very rarely progressing far.

That being the case, I should have perhaps said, 'effectively' only beaten two teams, and okay, I can stretch a point and say it was three not two, but the basis of the point still stands, given the advantage FC have over other teams in the competition, there record of wins being equal to Swinton and Batley is hardly cause for celebration.

Now, you have your opinion, I've not tried to change it, all I've done is express mine, which is what message boards are for.

I've always been an FC fan, and that game was bloody amazing. I never expected us to beat Warrington, especially in Huddersfield (that place is like Turf Moor for City...) and them last 10 minutes were bloody horrible. That referee is a top notch ****er who just decided to give penalties left, right and centre for everything. He might as well have just given Warrington a try or two and save the stress.

I was ecstatic when that final whistle blow, might get myself of to Wembley!

Sorry but you have done what other posters say you always do ie. you have switched the topic from not reaching the final to winning it with your Swinton/ Batley comment. So please stick to the topic which asks for appreciation for reaching the final not winning it.You have given your reasons for not doing so and I have given my opinion on this. I do know what message boards are for and don't appreciate your extremely condescending manner in pointing out the obvious. I will agree with you that it is now becoming very seriously boring so will leave it there. Must point out that it is their not there.

Do you recall the diversity of opinion on these boards over the Huddersfield / WYP debacle? Fans / supporters of all sports come in many different shades of opinion and outlook; we have our far share of silliness and bigotry on here, just as you get on RL boards. Radio Humberside phone-ins are a huge source of amusement on here when the City lot start their prattling after matches or something considered worthy of comment and that is City on City, only a sense of bias can see it any other way; one which stops, for some, a simple and sportsmanlike 'well done' for reaching a cup final.

Hmmm, Good to see you are capable of the odd exception, on spelling and calling the views of others 'piffle'.

I would have thought that after years of following Hull City AFC (as I have) you would be used to not winning anything of distinction (except promotions). I am a little curious how you see that Hull FC have some edge over the other teams in RL, do you really consider length of existence a benchmark for that? But thinking back, you did not say other teams, you said:

" FFS Four games then, but how many against serious opposition? As for having the fifth best record, that confirms their piss poor achievment, given the advantages they've got over the other pit vilages. Being formed 30 years before RL existed should have given them a head start."

Unlike you, I'll not concern myself at your exceptional spelling in that little old quote <whistle> , but tell us all, just how long has Hull been a pit village?

There seems to be an inherent bitterness; were you rejected by RL? That's a serious question, as you appear to have issues and may need help. <laugh>

If you are bored, then you stop posting; others can stop reading as has been said on other recent threads. <ok>

I haven't 'switched' anything. I've simply trie to elaborate the point as you seemed to be struggling with my earlier version. Getting to the final is something FC should do more, given villages like Batley ans Swinton have managed to win it as often. That's not patronising, it's just sad that I need to go to such lengths to explain.

I said quite early on what my position was and that based on your previous comments you have issues with me and won't accept my points, so there was little point discussing it with you. It's you that's tried banging on and trying to convince people you're right, which is, as you rightly point out boring and pointless.

PS pointing out spellings etc is seriously dull and pointless. HTH. <ok>
