Just to add the Maureen likes strong characters in his side - leaders - and Fonte will do that role at the back as John Terry did for him at Chelsea. He was interviewed on Bein TV and he made that point when he was discussing Ibra'vic - said he had made a huge difference to the dressing already as a leader.

He's getting him in to shag all his teammates wives !!! That Maureenho is bloody leading edge I'll give him that

NEVER put Jose in the same sentence as Terry again, shame on you :emoticon-0105-wink:

I get what you meant when you quoted my post, but don't really see what is depressing about signing young talented players and then selling them on a couple of years after signing them? With the reputation we are building up for getting players moves to the big teams it means we have more chance to sign the best youth from around the world where as other teams in a similar position to us (league standing, size) would have no chance.

Well if we hadn't already sold 3 of our best players this summer it wouldnt be a major issue but...

People panic because we are used to our players leaving, but you have to remember every case is different. Nothing has changed from a week ago, ignore speculation as it's exactly that; speculative.

Why though? This is modern football, if a player wants to leave then they have to use all these sorts of "tricks" to get the move, it won't upset the other players as they know what is going on and possibly one day have to do something similar themselves.

Kinell, this is probably the most depressing post I've ever read on here, even if the content is correct(doubt it)but the apparent acceptance of "modern football"
Anything goes and presumably is accepted. **** me how sad.

Sunday Times saying that Jose wants us to stand by a gentleman's agreement when he signed his last contract that we wouldn't stand in his way of a move should one arise. They say he's in a sulk because he wasn't informed by the club about the Everton bid.

Everton? Everton? Sorry Jose, we didn't tell you about that one because, really, who the flip are Everton?

If Jose wants to go he will go. Players have too much power.
