What do we do though? Saka/Gordon and Trent as wing backs in a 3-4-3? Or gamble on Shaw's fitness?
Gomez. Played left back 19 times for Liverpool this season and played very well, then play Gordon infront of him to provide the width.

Considering multiple attacking players have had barely any minutes this tournament we could've just taken Mitchell.

A half time punch up in the changing room would solve a lot of problems here. Somebody needs to start poking chests and demanding more.

Can’t help but feel Bellingham is wasting so much energy running back into his own half constantly to pick up the ball. Wouldn’t have to if we just played him in his natural position as an 8 with Foden the 10.

I would do what you said, gomez LB n gordon in front of him - the RB for them is 37 i think so get him running backwards

Id switch foden to the Right, give him n Bellingham 20 minutes to see if they can up in the 2nd half otherwise id get palmer n Watkins on

Gomez isn't going to do a lot more than Trippier there I don't think personally.

We should have been really bold and taken Leif Davis I think.

Just had a text from a mate who's involved in the game ...

... "Sadly it looks like tough men against talented boys, gutless at the moment."

And he's absolutely fanatical about England.

His previous message was,

"England just love a 5 yard square pass with the instep, Slovakia want to shift it 30 yards every time they get the ball."

I wish he'd stop texting tbh, it's too depressing <doh>

The commentators saying 'Slovakia are very well organised' as a bit of a slur ...

... meanwhile England are a disorganised shambles with Kane crossing to Saka <doh>

I think England will go through because they'll be forced to attack, not too inspiring though.

And Kane must be the quietest captain in the history of the game.
Just said to my son, Mainoo is a better captain on the pitch, talking to players, trying to get things going. Constantly. Kane is awful as captain.
