Gomez. Played left back 19 times for Liverpool this season and played very well, then play Gordon infront of him to provide the width.
Considering multiple attacking players have had barely any minutes this tournament we could've just taken Mitchell.
A half time punch up in the changing room would solve a lot of problems here. Somebody needs to start poking chests and demanding more.
Can’t help but feel Bellingham is wasting so much energy running back into his own half constantly to pick up the ball. Wouldn’t have to if we just played him in his natural position as an 8 with Foden the 10.
A half time sacking might do it.
I would do what you said, gomez LB n gordon in front of him - the RB for them is 37 i think so get him running backwards
Id switch foden to the Right, give him n Bellingham 20 minutes to see if they can up in the 2nd half otherwise id get palmer n Watkins on
Gomez isn't going to do a lot more than Trippier there I don't think personally.

Time for the old guard to **** off. No energy or urgency or pace. It's embarrassing.

At least Gomez would be solid defensively, would let Walker play high on the other side as well.
Tripper is Newcastles 4th best full back yet starts out of position for England. I don't get it.
There’s just a clear disjointed organisation/communication between all the players. Feels like nothing is worked on, nothing is planned, and it’s just made up on the day
Tripier is a huge problem for us on the left as he basically won’t use his left foot, embarrassing for an international player.

I think England will go through because they'll be forced to attack, not too inspiring though.
And Kane must be the quietest captain in the history of the game.
