Brilliant point mate.

You may not remember this but I used to do 'Spot the Ball' which was a photo taken during a game.

The ball had been removed and you had to use your vast knowledge of football to gauge where the ball was.

You'd study the players, and their body shape, to decide the optimum position ...

... the ball was never within twenty f*cking yards of where you thought it was <laugh>
Aye, I remember spot the ball....it was always somewhere completely random.
Sure my Dad had a rubber stamp type thing that put loads of X's in a square.

This American lass seems to know what she's talking about. She's not sticking up for VAR just explaining in detail why decisions were given.

To be fair she explained it very well (without needing to fully support it) - my issue was there was no definitive movement of hand to ball - I know that the rule is not that - I do feel if it hadn't been given no-one would have really complained. It's almost like you need an umpire's call!

Absolutely ridiculous it was given, not because it was incorrect but because the rule itself is idiotic. On the one hand they seem to be desperate to give penalties for any old bullshit and on the other they love to rule goals out for the same.

They need to get someone with common sense in charge of this **** because it's getting sillier and alienating the fans more and more every year.

It really is time to get some proper football on the go tonight. Attacking and full of press. Not the absolute inferior product that has been on show thus far.
I’m praying mate.

we are all converging down the in-laws (as we have once already) and just willing a good performance on so we can dance back up the road.

I think she's been really good this tournament, so much better than Peter Walton or Howard Webb.

Last night was a good discussion, the decisions made were correct according to the current laws of the game. Loads of people blaming Michael Oliver or VAR but they did their job properly.

Because she explained it so clearly, we then also had excellent points from Keane and Ange especially, about how they'd like the rules to change and technology to be used in the game. Far more interesting than than the usual ref bashing.

Right England it’s time to check in to this Euros ! I invoke Eye Of the Tiger, Hearts On Fire and Final Countdown on you !

Come on England !

Southgate has no excuses in this game especially after the way the Swiss went for Italy's throat.

If we'd been playing Germany there might have been an argument for a degree of caution ...

... no offence to Slovakia but they're not going to win the competition.

If anything they're more likely to sit back and give England the ball, it's what we do with it that counts.

Spot on mate, if mainoo start is to be believed it’s going in the right direction as the lad frees up others as he’s good on the ball.

Not expecting a single thing to be different from England this afternoon.

We've had five tournaments of this frustrating bollocks, we should know what we're getting.

Can't wait for the new man to come in.

Be a Kane penalty 1-0 won’t it.

Positive being we will have to try and play Holland Thursday cos if we sit back and piss about like a pack of Fannie’s they will do us with pace

I predict Southgate will make a single change today, probably Mainoo in midfield and we will scrape through.

He has already said he won't make too many changes as it can effect continuity... continuity of utter ****e it seems.

Hopefully an early goal and the player just go for it.

I wonder if GS has been influenced by the Greeks Euro triumph.
