CTWD are not in charge of what fans chant at Hull City games.

We encouraged fans to chant City Till I Die at 19.04, we are no longer doing so, what they do from now on is up to them, we can't dictate.

Where did I say you were in charge?

As you say you encouraged the 1904 protest to start, as you obviously have influence, for the good of the club, why don't you now appeal for the protest to stop?

Surely you cannot lose. If the chanting does stop, you will also have silenced the boos as well, you will gained a great deal of support, and you will have shown how much you can contribute to fans liaison with the club.

FFS Strov how would it be for the good of the club to stop singing? Back your point up for once.

Wow; I just wasted 30 minutes of my life that I will never get back reading half that ****e. Are you all 12 on here?

It isn't for you to say what the song is or isn't. Many people say it's sung as a celebration of our successful fight against the name change. If Allam can't bear to hear that he shouldn't be in charge of a football club. But in his defence there's nothing to suggest he can't. Both Ehab on RH and James Mooney at the recent FWG meeting have publicly stated that the owners like to hear the song on 19'04" because it generates a great atmosphere in the ground, and it's not like Ehab to refrain from having a pop at the fans. Even if it was anti-Allam he would deserve it for what he's done. The guy is not above criticism and people can't make it a taboo to dislike him. If he was a wonderful person no one would dislike him. As it is he's earnt plenty of dislike from some fans.

The fans don't need to show they've moved on. Allam hasn't moved on and if they want to voice opposition to his continued appeals then there's nothing wrong with that.

It's utterly pathetic that there are a number of people on here who don't want to hear the fans chanting a particular song, which can't possibly offend anyone, and they didn't mind it until a week ago when the club signed some more players. How can you be against your fans singing a City song. It's shameful that people can show more loyalty to Assem Allam than to the words City Til I Die. That song is this club, as are others like it.

Even when he goes and all this name change crap is gone for good there's going to be an underlying problem, which Allam has made obvious but isn't the cause of, which is that we've got some properly ****ing ****e fans at this club.

I'm not saying stop the song, I'm saying why not change it. It's no longer needed as a protest, the name isn't changing, and It's obviously provoking certain sections of the fans. Surely a united fanbase is more important than some fans need to remind everyone they won or to feel superior.

It's not stop singing though is it. It's one song at a certain time. Why not replace it with our club song, something all supporters can get behind. Lots of people in e4 near me don't sing on 1904 but sing at other times. Some of them even booed on Monday. Wouldn't it be great to get everyone who sings together behind the team? You can say the ctid chant isn't a protest all you like but while it is sung at that time it will be viewed as one.

It is a club song, we've sung it for years. <doh>

No chant is ever needed but it's nice to hear, to be a part of and it helps the team. This one is no different. It doesn't provoke anyone. If anyone feels the need to boo or becomes upset as a result of that song then that's 100% their problem and they should sort their problem out. It's not anyone else's fault. We have a small core of die-hard fans who make a lot of noise home and away, yet lately they're being what and when to sing by people who don't want to join in. This is bullshit. Join in and have your say, but don't try and force other people to sing what you want them to.

I'll repeat it as many times is necessary, there is absolutely nothing wrong with City Til I Die as a chant, nothing offensive about it, nothing. That chant, along with others like We Are Ull, Cmmmmmon Youuuuuuuuu Ullllllllll etc all mean far more to this club than Assem Allam does. None of those iconic City chants should be lost jut because of that twat.

How far do people want to go to please him? We're seriously debating whether it's acceptable to sing City songs now, which is ridiculous. This would have been laughed at a year ago but through a succession of lies and player transfers he's actually managed to convince some people without saying anything even remotely convincing. What's it gonna be like in another year's time if he's still here? Continuing at this rate it will be considered taboo by some fans to even utter the word City. After all if he hates it so should we, etc. etc. Where is this gonna stop?

What would get everyone together if City Til I Die doesn't? If singing the name of the club is seen as controversial then what is allowed and not considered controversial? Again, where is this going to end?
