You really don't understand do you. You're more like Dr Allam than you realise. You continue to do what you want and not listen to anyone else. I at least understand his motives, even though I don't necessarily agree with them, but I struggle with yours. Its the actions of fans like you that are causing me to lose my love of city.
Nobody is saying don't sing it. Just not at that time. Just because you don't think ctid is a protest chant at 1904 doesn't make it true. Lots of people do as proved on Monday yet you seem intent on aggravating them further. Your inability to see or care about someone else's view is laughable. Instead you sit there claiming they are **** fans. Who do you think you are? As far as I'm concerned anybody who is willing to part with their hard earned cash to support our team is alright by me.
19:04 chant should continue in my opinion. If some folks find it a little too much for them can I suggest you stay away from the ground.
Entertaining the name change, in any form, means that you’re either pig ignorant or just stultifyingly ill informed. Shame on any f**er, with a modicum of self respect, who makes any kind of case for it.
you overlook something. ctwd was set up in 2013 as a single issue pressure group. its single issue was opposition to the name change. on 9th april 2014 the name change was rejected. the campaign was and is over. the name will not change. on 19th april 2014 mark gretton became chairman. he was not the chairman during the anti name change campaign. ctwd are not currently campaigning against anything.
The point that is being missed here is that one of the few things hull City has going for it is its nickname. Other owners don't try and change the names of their clubs either because the club's brand is internationally valuable already or the club's nickname isn't worth much. Hull City are lucky that all over the world there are companies who have used the Tiger for their brand ... whereas Spurs, The Gunners, The Hammers, The Iron, The Minstermen, The Red Devils, The Toffees, The Bluebirds, The Saints, The Spirites, The Imps, The Bantams, The Magpies .... are all pretty useless. If Hull City had a nickname like .... er ... The Nursing Lecturers ... for instance ... I doubt he'd be wanting to tinker with the club's name. Since a. I will continue to call the club what I want, b. I'd like the club NOT to have to rely on rich owners and to be self-sufficient and c. the name can always be changed back if there is justification, I think it's worth a try to see how much sponsorship this small tinkering with the name might raise. I'd even be proud that Hull City was seen to be adventurous in this respect. CTWD should be wary of campaigning so successfully they get what they wish for and discover it's not quite as great as they imagined.
Who do I think I am? I'm someone who went to Newcastle today and had a great time getting on fine with the other City fans. No one there was offended by us singing on 19'04" and most were a part of it. Yet those who don't actually go away tell us we shouldn't sing it in their presence? **** right off. There's still been no argument to what is wrong with singing this Hull City song at a particular time. It's a ****ing disgrace that we have fans who think we shouldn't sing any particular City song at any particular time. If some ****s don't like it or resort to booing it is them and only them at fault. No one else should have to alter their behaviour to suit them. Once again, theres absolutely nothing at all wrong with singing any City song at any time. If you don't like it or would prefer the fans sang something else than start a chant yourself. To sit there in silence but tell the singers what they should and shouldn't sing at any time is appalling. The fact it is still sung more loudly than anything else shows our singing fans like it. Who is anyone else to tell them not to? If Allam didn't like hearing it, which he assures us isn't the case, then that'd just be further proof that he isn't fit to run this football club. You'll never make City a dirty word and neither will he.
I know what you think you are. Let's hope the hostilities don't escalate next week against man City. I'm not convinced they won't though. Maybe we will see fighting this time. Won't that be fun. Someone might even get badly injured. Who knows? Still, ctwd's super fan army are happy. That's most important.
Gopd god man, do you realise how obnoxious you sound. Just because you go to away games doesnt make you or your opinion more important. And as far as the 1904 chant goes, the reason it might be worth changing has been explained many times, yet your continued pig headedness refuses to accept it MAY be a valid point. Forgot to say, it os your right to sing what you want when you want, and it is my right to boo when o want. I might change the habit of a lifetime amd boo that song on my next visit to the kc. Well done, o hope youre proud, o have NEVER booed in that ground. Never, and yet I am forced to do so by you and your kind.
Bearing in mind the result of the referendum amongst pass holders and the fact that previously silent fans are now booing what they perceive to be protests against the owner they voted in favour of, I presume it's possible a new referendum could be held where passholders are again asked to vote but this time on those who "protest" having their season passes refunded and their seats being offered to pro Allam fans. If a section of fans won't stop their "protests" and a growing number of fans respond by booing, it might be the best option all round and anyway, why would fans who despise The Allams want to fund the Allams' business? That seems to be a good way forward. The anti-Allam minority and the pro Allam majority go their separate ways. It's a shame but it's better than infighting between pro and anti Allam factions which The Police may prefer to avoid dealing with. It's a bit like the Scottish Independence referendum. Groups of people want different things and drift apart. The local media and BBs carry stories of disenchanted City fans threatening to support Ferriby or other local non-league teams (and with decent support, Ferriby may well soon be in the Football League which would suit those City fans hankering for "the good old days" finding the PL not to their liking). The alternative is the anti-Allam faction gets their wish, Dr. Allam sells the squad and leaves the club owing him whatever ... a new owner arrives and time will tell whether they care about Hull City or not and Hull City will find their natural level in the league ... which, if history is to be any guide, is mid-championship .... thinking along the same lines as Sheff Weds, Sheff Utd., Leeds, Millwall, Derby, Notts Forest etc. .... City's fan base seems to be polarising along these lines ... the only thing I don't get is .... the fans that disapprove of the Allams, are not that impressed with the Premier League ... exactly what are their aspirations for Hull City? We know they don't approve of The Allams, they want the name to stay the same yet no fans group has ever come close to raising enough money to run the club ... what do CTWD et al want? It would seem "nothing" since apparently, they're not campaigning against anything anymore. A point worth pondering is ... let's say The Allams manage to cover their costs by selling the squad and taking the parachute money and City are run along the same lines as Swansea .... what will be the gates at the KC, will it make business sense for the club, Hull FC and the council ... history tells us that Hull City attracts asset stripper owners from out of town so how is the club re-organised to suit CTWD and the "protesting" fans? .... and if fans protest groups can't find anyone with better judgement than "hip flask man", who is going to run the club and how successful will they be?
you didn't start at the beginning of this thread, did you? let us know when you've read all the preceding posts. actually, just some of them will do.
why don't you go one further and put those that don't agree with CTWD stance under citizens arrest, and then flog them in Queen Vicky Square?
Thats not obnoxious, thats pissed off. Anyway, thanks for your contribution. It's added massively to the thread. (Now THATS obnoxious)
do you know how stupid and pathetic that claim is? i suspect you don't. "a bull in a china shop" - what, a song sung at a particular time in a match? you pathetic prissy little twat! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
