Pre season training starts on Monday & we have not signed a single player. All I'm seeing is players leaving/stating they want to leave. Only Huddlestone has declared his intention to stay. I'm starting to feel that City have absolutely no chance of bouncing straight back to The Premiership with the players we will have left combined with the very worrying lack of anyone credible coming in. Bruce's record in the transfer market really is hit & miss.
Have Bruce & Phelan got some recruitment master plan they are keeping very close to their chests ?????

We usually haven't signed anyone by the start of pre season...

So far, not good, Bruce does not rate Rosie & McShane, Quinn does not want to play for Bruce and Allam does not want to keep the 3 forwards, things can only improve in the next 80 pages, if we get lucky we might sign someone

I think its more a case of the 3 forwards dont want to stay in the championship, I think (well i hope) bruce will of been prepared for quinns exit for a long time and already have a someone else in his mind.
But yeah think we all agree be nice when something actually happens in the transfer market

Where has it been said that Quinn doesn't want to play for Bruce, didn't Reading just offer him a better deal than we did. Allam doesn't want the 3 forwards!!!! Bruce has the final say on who stays and goes, from what I've read/ understood is they all had relegation clauses which is the avenue they chosen

Mcshane burnt his bridges with a tantrum.
Three forwards on massive wages want to go elsewhere rather then have big pay drop, and the board been sensible and not crippling the club.
Rosie could of signed a deal in december, now that deal is not there as we have to trim costs.
Quinn wants first team football which he is not gaurentteed here.

Sensible decisions amd players making there own choices.

No doubt we will bring in some quality in the next 6 weeks,

Some peopke need to relax...

That is the best spelling of guaranteed I think I have ever seen. Love it.

We didn't put Quinn on the world stage, he helped put the club there and we pretty much discarded him for a season and a half in favour of Huddlestone and Livermore.

It seems to be the natural reaction to be angry at a player wanting to go elsewhere but there must be a good reason. If it's simply more money then the question is why can't we match another Championship club's offer for a good player like Quinn? Are Reading offering Duffen-esque money or are we being frugal? If it's not money, is he just frustrated at his limited amount of game time since promotion?

It won't be money. I think it's obvious the club has done wrong to him.

Why is it obvious?
The only thing he's been hard done by is having other players picked ahead of him who were technically better.
Why should he be offered a 3 to 4 year deal on Premier League money when he is an average Championship player at best.

Both McShane and Quinn came out with their excuses about been good enough to play in the Premier League but where will they end up?
Looks like it will be at average Championship teams who only have an outside chance of promotion.

Never rated Quinn. Runs around a lot but no end product and the most one footed player I can recall for some time.
