It's called underachieving now so that you can overachieve later. Would it be helpful to say that mountaineers go through the same process..?
I thought Scotland played really well. WGS have got the heart of Scottish International football beating again.
Hello chaps. Was out Friday night so have postponed my scarily long run until Sunday. Need to get a good nights sleep, keep hydrated even before the run, and eat the right preparatory foods. So have had a large portion of chicken and pasta and will be having some porridge and bananas at around 4 tomorrow morning....Planning to leave at around 6am after all, I've got 23 miles to get through This is the longest distance I will attempt pre-marathon. Wish me luck, it will be needed!
I'm afraid to say that it didn't go so well. I've done my knee in somehow. Had to stop before I damaged it further. I'm hoping that it's not too bad and that if I give it a weeks rest it will be alright. If not, I might have to just fall back on the miles I've got under my belt so far and try and run through the pain on race day. I'll do it if I have to hobble my way round 26 miles. Really disappointed. It's not swollen up yet so hopefully that's a good sign, but it does hurt
I do, and I haven`t had any major problems with joints (cue waccy baccy jokes). Both are naturally recurring products - glucosamine and condroitin for the joints, omega 3 more for the ticker. No harm in giving them a go. Try olive oil with your grub too. I`m running the London marathon next year - its 13 April, which coincides with Mrs AberdeenSaints 50th birthday. I`ve placated her by taking her (and son and daughter) to London for the weekend. I haven`t broken it to her yet that me and AberdeenSaint Junior are nipping down to Soton for the Saints-Cardiff game on the 12th. How can I get away with it ??
